Can't go to work when returning from a WA travel.

Hello.

I've a problem I dont seem to resolve. I went to travel in CHan Simla (World Adventures) and, after that can't send my sim to work anymore without an error (Errortrap tells me there's a problem with a null instance). Any idea ?

I've even tried this solution, without any luck:

Hi, I know it's been a little while since I posted here. I'm having the problem where if I have a sim travel, nobody in the family can go to school or work when he/she comes home. I've never had this happen before and now it seems to be happening in all worlds. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!


*Solution*

Try using Nraas Debug Enabler to fix the problem.

Go to City Hall > Debug Enabler > City Hall Options > Sim > Fix Homeworld. Everything should be fixed and the Sims should be able to go to work/school.

What happens when you try to send your sim to work? Do they not spin into their work outfit properly, does the carpool not come or they can't get into it, do they try to enter the building but then cancel, etc.? Does the sim have a work-related opportunity active, and if so, does it help to cancel the opp?

Please also upload the scripterror that is created at the same time as the ErrorTrap notification.

I do have only the errortrap pop-up, nothing else.

The log was more explicit and I have found the culprit mod (heavily scripted). Will try without it.

Sure you have no Scripterror XML files in your Documents Sims 3 folder?
There they are generated.

Can you tell us, which mod was the culprit, so we know about it ?

This used to happen to me a lot. I fixed it by using Debug Enabler. As soon as my sims return from travel, I click on City Hall and use Debug Enabler > Sim > Fix Homeworld.
