Lag during browsing outfits in CAS/Stylist mode

Post by Symmachus » April 22nd, 2023, 4:25 pm

Hi! I noticed that when I try to change Sim's clothes using MC options "edit in CAS" or "stylist" it causes severe lag. When I'm changing clothes with dresser or edit in CAS cheat everything is working fine. Here is the recording: https://youtu.be/ew0bolEGuKE. I previously thought that the lag was caused by conflict with the Smooth Patch, but uninstalling it changed nothing. Currently, I have no other mods, expect for NRAAS MC, DE, ErrorTrap and Overwatch.

I happened to notice that it's Sunday morning at 8 am. So this is a new game starting up, not just a new game session? It's possible that the issue being shown in the video is due to MC not yet having had a chance to fully load and take hold yet. Can you try again after the game clock has begun moving forward smoothly and after all of the beginning of the new game announcements and their processes like the one we see from Supernatural have run and subsided?

Any CC installed? If so, try without. Also Show In Compact Form may help if you don't have that enabled in MC CAS settings.

I wonder that in the video there is only 1 item shown in the CAS list of everyday?

Do you maybe have a Smoothpatch relict package in your mods/packages folder you forgot to move out?

Yeah, you're right, I always tried to edit Sim's clothes with Nraas right at the start of the game. After waiting one in-game day it is the menu becomes actually usable, although it is still quite laggy, at least at first.

But this is not normal, the menu and CAS should work after some few sim minutes right after start.

How much RAM does your PC has, what kind of hardware, grafic card do you have?
