i need some serious help with understanding the settings of this mod. i downloaded it so i can slow down how fast the day progresses so i can do more stuff but i just can't understand how to work it. it's like everything i've read doesn't match up at all with what i'm seeing.
earlier i read this thread (which is how i even found out about relativity) and decided i would just change the set speed setting as sarah_sims suggested, but when i look at the set speed setting in-game, it doesn't say 37. it says 0 and says 0 is default? isn't 37 supposed to be the default? i'm really confused...
what am i supposed to put this number to? i want to give myself double the amount of time each day. (also, i downloaded the settings file sarah_sims has on their website and put it into the library like you're supposed to, but nothing happened? did i do something wrong there?)

The default value for Set Speed is indeed 0. If you set it to 37, you will engage the mod across the entire day but won't actually accomplish anything because 37 is the speed at which the game clock runs under EA Standard, meaning without the mod.
We suggest trying 19 there to begin with. I find some things happen too quickly for my tastes at that speed and prefer 23, but the differences are admittedly a bit subtle.
Settings files going into the Library make them available for an import by way of Overwatch. They won't do anything for or against your game by just being in the Library folder.

having it set at 0 has the normal speed that i'm used to seeing without the mod, so wouldn't raising the number make the day go by faster instead of slower? obviously it's the way that you're saying it is, i'm just asking so i can better understandigazor wrote: ↑February 26th, 2023, 3:33 amThe default value for Set Speed is indeed 0. No, 0 is not a defined clock speed. It is a special value that engages intervals, but if you aren't using intervals yet (and many of us don't anyway), then it's not actually doing anything at all. If 0 were really a defined clock speed, then at that setting the game clock would not move forward at all.
If you change that value to something higher than 37, then the day will go by faster with fewer things getting done per minute of the game clock. If you change that value to something lower than 37 (but higher than 0), then the day will go by slower with more things getting done per minute of the game clock. If you change it to exactly 37, then the game clock speed will be the same as EA Standard, neither faster nor slower. We do not recommend values between 0 and 10 as that's too fast and can cause some processes to fall over themselves and not happen in the correctly programmed order of things (different players' experiences will vary). Again, 19 or some value around there is a good starting point to at least see how the mod works for you.
