I've just got my new Mac Mini M2 and installed Windows 11 with Parallels Desktop. However, I tried to install Sims 3 (base game) from disc and got the following message:

I've tried the followings but no luck:
1. Update Windows,
2. Run as administrator,
3. Run in compatibility mode,
4. Re-install Windows, and
5. Re-install both Parallels Desktop and Windows.
I really don't want to play Sims 3 in Mac OS because here is still a lot of glitches.
Please help. Thanks in advance.

The Mx graphics chips run Sims 3 quite well in macOS, in fact significantly better than most of the dedicated cards seen in Macs in the Intel years. Aside from the significant computing power of the graphics engine, the chip has direct access to very fast RAM, not necessarily at the level of GDDR5 or 6 but certainly better than a standard iGPU from the Intel years or from a typical Windows machine. Parallels drivers have also improved recently, at least as far as I can tell, going from utter trash to something resembling mediocre.

I do think using Parallels here may be a significant issue if this Mac Mini has only 8 GB RAM, but with 16 GB, it might be reasonably fine.

On the flip side, I don't recognize that error and have no idea where to start looking for a workaround.

I've done research before purchasing and people said Sims 3 worked fine with Parallels and Windows 11. A strange thing is that I'd installed Sims 3 successfully for the first time once I got my Mac. However, I did something wrong and needed to format the hard disk and re-install OS. Thereafter, I got the mentioned message while installing Sims 3.
I found old posts with similar problem in EA Answer HQ. But there is no solution and people were using Windows 7 or Vista.
As a Mac user before releasing of Sims 3, I'm despair of EA support. Fortunately, many other users gave great helps in the web and I can still enjoy the game before. Anyway, I will try to re-install everything again.
