I've recently noticed Overwatch is restoring sims that I've tried to delete with Master Controller's total annihilation, I get a notification at 3 AM about a missing sim being returned and it's always the sim(s) that I just deleted with MC. This also happens with sims generated as coworkers, for example I have a sim working the University Life art critic career and since no premade sims are in this career path, the game randomly generates new townies to be my coworkers, and these seem to regularly get deleted by the game and replaced by new sims made up on the spot. And so Overwatch keeps restoring them every night at 3 AM.
In addition to that, the notifications at 3 AM report on Overwatch "restoring missing sims" that are actually premade dead sims (that show up as ghosts every now and then) at the local graveyard or wherever, and these notifications would proceed to pop up every night and every time it's the same list of ghosts being "restored".
Of course, simply saving and rebooting the game fixes this problem (and preventing ghosts from spawning at night via Retuner)... but then a day or two later some other sims get purged and then they get restored and the loop starts all over again. I really don't want to reboot the game every few minutes just to fix this.
So I'd like to ask, is it safe for me to disable the "restore missing sim"-feature completely? The nightly message spam about freshly-deleted sims and random ghosts being restored is getting a bit tiresome. Or is there some other way to stop this from happening?
For the record, I tried looking through the forums here to see if anyone else had this issue, someone mentioned something about a conflict with Overwatch and Awesomemod, but I do not use that particular mod.

Thanks for writing me about it on MTS, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed this thread. I already figured out what the problem was and updated the archive, check again, everything should be fine now.Sazandora123 post_id=93456 time=1676532439 user_id=22504 wrote: Knight's modified version of mmsbludhound's Change At Home After Work

I wonder, this behaviour is weird and not normal
Do you have error trap installed?
I don't know what causes it. But you can test it, mostly third-party mods can be the culprit, incompatible with nraas or even outdated.
So , move all non nraas Mods to a backup-test folder on your desktop.
1. play and see what happens, save as under a new name test.
2. if everything is all right, move 5 of your other mods back for testing.
(drop them not in the same folder like nraas, seperate them)
f.i. beforehand create a new folder "test" and a second "test-ok", move the good tested from test to test-good and drop another 5 into the test folder.
Delete 5 cache files in your Sims documents folder every time before starting a new test session.
Play the test save and so on, until you may get this behaviour again and see what mods are in the test folder.
Now you need to test each single by single.
It 's worthy.

I think I saw another report of this recently on another forum, and the cause was Simler90's Gameplay Systems Core Mod. This mod is not compatible with a few different NRaas mods, for various reasons. Even if you want to use it going forward, it's worth removing it temporarily to see whether it stops the recovered sim messages.

I don't have Simler90's mod so that wasn't it, and I do have Error Trap installed. I tested my mods all morning and finally found the culprit: Knight's modified version of mmsbludhound's Change At Home After Work: https://modthesims.info/download.php?p= ... ost5781848
It's a real shame, too. This mod used to work just fine for me, but looks like it started giving me problems after reinstalling the game on a new computer. After removing this mod, deleted sims are no longer being restored nightly and ghosts work just fine. Does anyone know of another mod that could make sims swap out of their work clothes after their workday ends?

Oh, hi there. Thank you so much! I went back to my test save that I had set up, on the first nightly cleanup no deleted sims or ghosts were restored!

I thought NRAAS already had an option to do that, but I am not in game and I can't find it on this website. Anyone else know?Sazandora123 wrote: ↑February 16th, 2023, 2:27 amDoes anyone know of another mod that could make sims swap out of their work clothes after their workday ends?
