Hello all! I JUST started modding the sims 3 for the first time, and really only just started playing the darn thing last week. (Noobie, I know) I've installed a handful of mods from this site including Careers and its submod, Academics. According to the description of the submod, every profession should have a degree associated with it now along with a brand new education degree. 2 things I am running into: education appears to be other under the business degree AND a separate education degree. Second, the education career seems to be the only additional career covered by a degree i.e. firefighter is not appearing as benefitting from the physical education degree. I have 2 questions: 1. do I just need to try removing some other Careers submods so that education only appears as the education major and not under business or vice versa? 2 are the additional degree benefitted professions/Careers supposed to show on the aptitude test/enrollment screen or do they not display but are still conferred a bonus? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Apologies as well if I posted this in the wrong place. Literally just registered and this is my first post.
Thanks for having me!

Additional Careers/Professions Assigned Degrees by Academics Submod not Appearing
Hi there.
Also, do you have any mods from sources other than NRaas that might be trying to supply a custom major in that slot?

But you can test this out relatively easily by using DebugEnabler to grant some random test sim the required degree, then have them sign up for that profession. You can then quit the session without saving after seeing what happens.
Can you explain a bit further what this means or, even better, provide some screenshots by uploading them to a third party file hosting site and supplying a link to them here?LLMCxDak post_id=92167 time=1670366695 user_id=24704 wrote: education appears to be other under the business degree AND a separate education degree.

The latter. But it's not really that much of a bonus, as I recall (and my memory is getting fuzzy on this to be honest), it's maybe a slight lift in starting out job level and a small cash stipend upon signing up. Those will only show up for sims who have never before been in the profession prior to having received their degree.LLMCxDak post_id=92167 time=1670366695 user_id=24704 wrote: are the additional degree benefitted professions/Careers supposed to show on the aptitude test/enrollment screen or do they not display but are still conferred a bonus?
