I have installed LazyDuchess' smooth patch but the old version 1.0 (I was having too many issues with 2.0). Is this known to interfere with MC CAS compact view (the 1.0 version?).

If so, is there a known fix?

No, there can be a CAS conflict only if you installed package files that appeared since version 2. The main mod (the files you put in the base game folder) has no effect on in-game features.
