I know there are mods at Sims Asylum that stop minor pets from dying of old age, starving or running away, but I wonder if this is possible to do in Retuner? I thought it would be better than downloading new mods for every little this or that.
Oh, I guess if it's possible in Retuner, the settings would have to be set for each world/save? But the mod would work automatically for all of them, right?

Retuner to stop minor pets from dying?
These are my settings in Retuner for minor pets. I think they should cover the 'old age' and 'running away' whilst in a sims' inventory but not the starving part. I imagine that's probably somewhere in the same place in Retuner's settings so shouldn't be hard to find.
From City Hall or any computer > NRaas > Retuner > Settings > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.MinorPets >
MinorPetBirdLarge > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=450 > 1=600 (Default:12-15)
MinorPetBirdLarge > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
MinorPetBirdSmall > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=150 > 1=300 (Default:8-12)
MinorPetBirdSmall > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
MinorPetLizard > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=450 > 1=600 (Default:10-15)
MinorPetLizard > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
MinorPetRodent > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=180 > 1=300 (Default:8-10)
MinorPetRodent > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
MinorPetSnake > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=450 > 1=600 (Default:10-15)
MinorPetSnake > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
MinorPetTurtle > kMinorPetTuning > BaseLifetimeRange > 0=2400 > 1=3000 (Default:12-15)
MinorPetTurtle > kMinorPetTuning > InInventoryRunawayChance > 0 (Default:10)
The settings are indeed world/save specific but you can always use Overwatch to export Retuner's settings and then import them into any other save.

Yay, excellent! Thanks, Sarah! I'll use those!
My sims have a spiny turtle they (and I) want to keep for as long as possible. They never let it starve, but sometimes they put it in the inventory when I'm not looking...
