manually choosing lifetime wish for inactives

Post by deedee_828 » July 16th, 2022, 2:22 pm

I keep finding sims in town with lifetime wishes that don't fit their traits at all, like sim with the illustrious author LTW that's neither artistic nor a bookworm.

I know I was able to manually choose lifetime wishes for inactives once they aged up in one of my saves, but I don't remember how.

Does anyone know the NRaas pathway for choosing the lifetime wish once sims age to young adult?

Changing an existing LTW or adding one manually to a sim who lacks one is a function of MasterController (MC Cheats module required).

Being prompted for LTW choices and when this happens are functions of StoryProgression (and one of the settings you want requires the SP Population module).

The options are under SP > General Options > Options: Sims > Options: Traits/ Lifetime Want and are outlined in the documentation found through the link provided.

I checked the pathway and fixed it.

But upon switching households to play some single sims, I realized I'd changed a setting somewhere along the line that made SP pair up romantic interests but none of the relationships in town were progressing beyond that.

I couldn't figure out what I'd done to make that happen, even after checking all my SP settings several times, so I reset SP, including the lifetime wish pathway, and now sims are going steady and getting engaged again.

And I got my first two pop ups asking if I wanted to change inactives lifetime wishes! :)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
