I remember when I was on patch 1.42 I had to enter cheats at the the Main Menu but after patch 1.63 I had to do it in Edit Town and on 1.66 it didn't matter I could enter cheats whenever I wanted. It's probably just the game being it's usual weird self.Sarah_Sims wrote: ↑February 25th, 2022, 8:54 pmNo, I don't think it is. I've never heard of anyone else having to do this before. It's very strange that you're having this problem. Hopefully, someone else will pop in here with the answer. Fingers crossed

All of the "cheat code" cheats like the ones you listed work with just the Overwatch setting or using testingcheatsenabled true during gameplay. It's the clicky UI ones like the sliders and lifetime happiness points that don't work unless I input at the Main Menu. It seems like it might be like that for removing moodlets as well, though I don't recall from my own game.
I originally found out about the Main Menu thing because there were a few posts about it on Carl's and a couple of blogs, but even now, I occasionally see people talk about it on Reddit, so there are still a few of us lucky ones, it seems.

indignantgirl can you maybe post all the cheats codes which do not work sometimes from main menue, so we can try them?
I also have testingcheatsenabled true in Overwatch.
Slide relationships, motives, lifetime happiness points (hold Ctrl + left click for the points) always worked for me.

The Needs bar sliders have always worked for me but what's the lifetime happiness points cheat? I don't know that one, sorry. I normally use Master Controller to increase Lifetime Happiness points. And removing moodlets, do you mean ctrl+left-click on the moodlet to remove it? Yes, that works for me too.indignantgirl post_id=87724 time=1645856814 user_id=20577 wrote: It's the clicky UI ones like the sliders and lifetime happiness points that don't work unless I input at the Main Menu. Go to the lifetime happiness tab of your active sim (of course for inactive sims you need MC),Sarah_Sims post_id=87726 time=1645891539 user_id=49 wrote: C-Dark post_id=87725 time=1645866947 user_id=236 wrote:

hold CTRL and left click many times near the right side of the number - click as often you wanna increase the number (sure you don't know this?)

Thank you! I just tried it and it works! You have to click in just the right place though so it's a bit tricky for me. Think I'll stick with MC but this is good to know, thanks! And no, I've never heard of this before so I've learnt something new today!

But this is really easy, if you do it a couple of times you wil know where to clickSarah_Sims wrote: ↑February 26th, 2022, 3:13 pmYou have to click in just the right place though so it's a bit tricky for me
Check at the right side from the number - the middle between number and border of that box
I do it very often with my kids and teens. For my inactives I don't care.

I found I had to click really close to the right side of the number for it to work but maybe I was doing it wrong. Besides that though, I can't tell exactly how many points it's adding at a time and I like to give my sims exactly the right amount for a particular reward. You can blame my OCD for that.
