Katy Perry Stuff Pack to Steam Version of Sims 3?
Is there any possibly way of transferring or registering the Katy Perry Sweet Treats Stuff Pack to the Steam version of Sims 3? If it's really complicated I'd still like to try and get it working on Steam.

There is no Steam version of of that pack. A few players had at one time come up with a registry edit that will, for some players, allow the disc version to be used within a Steam game but it doesn't work for everyone and any time Steam needs to "repair" the game I believe the edits will become undone.
But if you wish to pursue this further anyway, it would be best to ask about it on the Steam forum for TS3.

I have managed to make it work with the Origin version of the Katy Perry, but I don't use that trick myself since I do not need it, and I have had a few crashes that might or might not be related to that. But still I am not using that trick to make sure the game is as stable as possible.
To make it work, you can copy the Origin version of the pack to the location where the packs are for the Steam version (don't forget to delete the extra "0" the Origin version adds to the directories, Steam uses SPX format, not SP0X like Origin), and replicate/guess the registry entry that Steam version expects for that game over at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Sims(Steam)\The Sims 3". You might also need to own a DLC that is released later than Katy Perry for this to work.
As a side note, I would not recommend you to mess with registry if you do not know what you are doing.
If you make this work, the pack will be completely there, like new objects, new lots in the lot bin, Katy Perry's Last Friday Night song, outfits etc. But the version will be shown as 0.0.0.0 for Katy Perry only.
Also there is a Steam version of the Katy Perry pack. I don't know if it was ever sold there, but it exists on the Steam servers: https://steamdb.info/depot/223591/

Yeah that sounds like I might accidentally destroy my game if I try. I guess the most I can do is hope for a easy method in the future.Rsanda wrote: ↑October 16th, 2021, 2:26 pmI have managed to make it work with the Origin version of the Katy Perry, but I don't use that trick myself since I do not need it, and I have had a few crashes that might or might not be related to that.
