Choice of woohoo location & cyber woohoo notches.

Post by kimlupai » July 25th, 2021, 7:11 pm

I'm playing a tweaked asylum game and the uncontrolled residents are woohooing like rabbits. They are almost all level 8, 9 or 10 in KS. Something I've noticed though is that they very rarely choose to woohoo in the shower but the elevator is ridiculously popular. As an example one sim has woohooed 397 times in the following locations:
Elevator - 310
Toilet Stall - 57
Bed - 20
Shower - 2
Wardrobe - 8
I can sort of understand why the elevators are popular, there were a lot of them on the lot and they are fairly centrally placed. But is there a setting or something that I could change that would make some of the other woohoo locations just as attractive as the elevators? I did try changing the fun advertisement for shower woohoo in Retuner but it doesn't seem to have had any effect.

The second thing I've noticed is that a couple of the uncontrolled sims have autonomously tried to random cyber-woohoo. They have gotten the moodlets Premature and Cybered (sorry not the correct names but I hope they are close enough) but the woohoo hasn't been noted in their woohooer stats. The Computer location stat and the Cyber Junkie mini challenge still show 0 notches.

Does the cyber-woohoo have to be completed successfully (not end prematurely) for the woohoo to count? And if this is the case, is there anything that improves the chance of a successful cyber-woohoo? Maybe higher logic, charisma or social networking skill?

Thank you for any info. :)

Heh, that asylum sounds similar to the one I observed in a custom world.

I don't have a good idea about cyberwoohoo. I usually switch that off as it tends to end in high "bike" and "cheater" stats, although those "eternally faithful" sims are also pushed to do it .However, I think your idea is true that only "successfully" completed cyberwoohoo sessions will result in a stat increase, given the few times I actually paid attention to this.

In my game, autonomous shower woohoo simply fails close to 100% of the time. If I tell them to do this manually, it works just fine, but autonomously, the sims usually drop the action the moment the first sim is supposed to route to the shower.
Given your asylum situation, one obvious thing to look out for is gender-specific bathrooms. In that case, it would be obvious why most or nearly all interactions fail

Thanks for the reply Turjan. The asylum I'm using for this game is Dreadwich Asylum by pancake 101 over at MTS (which is an awesome lot and I highly recommend it, although it is huge and very detailed so some computers might struggle to run it). I've modified the asylum over the course of the game as one of the conditions that my sim has to fulfil is to restore the lot and turn it into a family home. All of the rooms that the showers are in have regular doors not the gender specific doors so I don't think that's why the showers aren't being chosen. They are reasonably sizeable rooms as well so it shouldn't be a space route fail issue either. As they have communal bathrooms at the moment (and I really didn't want to deal with sims getting kicked out of the bathroom) shooless is set so sims will share a bathroom no problem, so that also shouldn't (in theory) be an issue.

Actually, I'm usually watching the uncontrolled sims while my active sim is working on writing or gardening etc and to me, it looks as though it's not that shower woohoo is failing, but they are not choosing it as a location in the first place.

As for the cyber-woohoo, I guess I'll have to do a bit more testing as I'm trying to concoct some rules for a game based on the Brothel Challenge by CannibalCupcake (also posted at MTS) but heavily modified. Understanding what influences a successful cyber-woohoo would be really useful as the uncontrolled sim I've seen trying cyber-woohoo was at level 10 in the KS skill but her attempts still ended prematurely.
