"Watch the Stars" is cheating even with jealousy turned off.

I've always had "show actions under romance" (something like that) as false, because I like the relationship boost from finding compatible signs for friendly sims, and I like to find out if a sim is single without it being a come-on. I keep Jealousy Level on Low, and since "ask to watch the stars" is under Romantic, other sims will get Upset if their romantic partner is watching the stars with another sim, which makes sense. This is my normal setup.

In one save, I'm using Kama Simtra so I changed Jealousy Level to None (or Off or whatever it is) because I wasn't sure how my sim would react to his partner being a registered professional and doing his work. And of course, sims are getting away with everything in this town, which, okay, that's fine. They can flirt, kiss, even initiate woohoo right in front of their partner and everyone else on the lot and nobody bats an eyelash.

What they CAN'T do is "ask to watch the stars" without all of a sudden everyone is witnessing betrayal and accusing of cheating (I have "accuse of cheating" set to not be autonomous in Retuner so I don't know how that happened). Friends and family all running across the lot to be Upset. Basically all the stuff I'd expect to see if jealousy was still turned on. Except they react to ONLY "watch the stars". And I'm not 100% certain but I might only be seeing this reaction on community lots, if that matters.

The testing version of Woohooer mentions something about the "watch the stars" interaction, so I don't know if this is new behavior or it's always been like this but I never noticed because of my usual settings. I've never used Woohooer global "no jealousy" settings, so maybe this is just a Thing.

On a plus note, sims are no longer compulsively asking to watch the stars, so they aren't having to be Upset from cheating very often.

Do you have any social tuning mods installed that make it a non-romantic interaction? That would prevent Woohooer from disabling jealousy on it.

I've never seen sims treat it as a non-romantic interaction and I definitely wouldn't like it to be non-romantic, so I know I don't have any mods that overtly make that change.

I only have a few social tuning mods, but one I have that specifically deals with romance is "Romantic Reputation Recombobulator". I don't know if it has ever worked in my game, because I keep "accuse of cheating" autonomy turned off in my default Retuner settings, so I'm not sure if RRR or Retuner is controlling it. I just know I haven't seen a sim accused of cheating in probably a year or so, so something has been working.

BUT, being as the RRR mod deals with jealousy and accusing of cheating and such, maybe it's not compatible with the Woohooer's global "no jealousy" function? I didn't think about it before because my poly sims have always been able to watch the stars with this mod in, but then again, they use the LTR's for No Jealousy and Above Reproach, rather than Woohooer settings.

Hmm. I'm going to check a few things out.

It doesn't look like the recombobulator touches socials. Just as a test though, can you try with only NRaas installed and see if you get the same result?

I've done a little testing (with all mods installed) that seemed to indicate that it might have to do with sims being on a date, and I think "watch the stars" is coincidental because they just happen do it so often when feeling romantic. I was only seeing it with "watch the stars" when letting my sims do their own thing, but I've been able to invoke "Upset" with most of the user-directed romantic interactions when a sim is on a date with a different sim. In my testing, no romantic actions caused a jealous reaction if none of the sims involved were on a date.

I have not been able to recreate the incidents I saw the other night where sims got the "Betrayed" moodlet, the "Witnessed Betrayal" moodlet, and the opportunity to "express sympathy for [the Betrayed]", either with or without other mods installed. Everything that was going on what autonomous, so whether them watching the stars actually triggered it or it was triggered from something/someone else, I can't be sure.

Though I have "accuse of cheating" and "tell about 's other relationship" set to allow autonomous = false in Retuner, I found that when clicking on a sim (Retuner object menu), "tell about sim's other relationship" is allow autonomous = true. Maybe I had a rogue troublemaker telling everyone about everyone's other relationships. There were 25 sims on the lot, and only 10 of them were in the active household, so I can't be sure what everyone was saying to everyone else. And several of these sims had multiple romantic interests on the lot, so maybe there was a chain reaction of some sort.

Just now, I did a test with Nraas mods (and cc/build items), and nothing was different, except that pretty quickly I had an "accuse of cheating" from 2 different sims (the husband/date, and another Romantic Interest). There was no romantic interaction to trigger this, it seemed more like the standard random game accusation, probably because I took the Recombobulator out (I guess that answers the question of whether it's working in my game or not!).

In short, I think sims don't like it when their dates flirt with other sims, jealousy or no jealousy. Which is pretty reasonable, all things considered. It's just common courtesy. :)
