Cannot get the inactive sims to stop autonomous woohoo

Post by Megnoeu » March 25th, 2021, 8:56 am

Hi! I'll directly get to the point. As the title says, I cannot stop inactive sims to autonomously woohoo (and repeat woohooing afterwards) even though I set those settings as follows:

Woohoo \ Species \ Autonomous Woohoo: False
Woohoo \ Species \ Cooldown Between Woohoos: 360
Woohoo \ Species \ WooHoo Count Score Factor: -3000 (Yes, minus three thousand. I was so desperate.)

I did not change the value of "Woohoo \ Species \ WooHoo Base Chance Scoring" just in case I want to turn autonomous woohoo on, I'd like to play with the default settings. Nevertheless, I believe it should not help the problem since I set the auto woohoo to false.

I have all the modules of Woohooer except EA Premium related ones, and I have Story Progression with all the modules. Also note that "General \ Link to Story Progression" is set true.

I tried to google this issue and search through the forum here, yet I couldn't find anything. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

Do you have those set under Species: Human? Do you have any other mods that may control woohoo? What about Buzzler's Moar Interactions? Have you tried with only Woohooer installed?

Yes it is Species: Human. I don't have any other mod to do anything with woohoo, I have just heard about Buzzler's so no. All I have installed are Nraas mods and some little mods from MTS and so that are not related to any kind of behaviour about woohoo. This is also why I haven't tested Woohooer installed only. I thought maybe I set some settings wrong or there could be something I'm missing or I just misunderstood.

Thanks for the quick reply btw!

Are they woohooing or trying for baby? Do you have autonomous try for baby enabled? Do you have risky woohoo enabled? If so, is risky autonomous woohoo disabled?

Hmm, now that you brought them, it got me thinking. I set the "Kama Simtra \ Show Notices" true, to detect if any inactive sim involves in woohoo. And this was how i realised they kept woohooing in the first place. Autonomous try for baby and risky are set to false as default, did not change them, it was always woohoo what was being reported in notices.

But there is something else I'd like to say. My problem seems to be temporary, it happens now and then. This is why I decided to turn auto woohoo on and it felt like they stopped constant woohoo and repeating, to my observations so far.

What about Story Progression? Could it anyhow push sims to woohoo? And another question is if it cannot overwrite Woohooer's settings, how does the conception occur? Because auto try for baby is false but I saw SP stories that report babies being born without getting Kama Simtra notices of the sims trying for baby beforehand. Is auto try for baby different from what SP pushes sims for conception?

Well I am really confused tbh, but I am very grateful of the great work of NRaas. I can live with the current state, I hope it won't break again. And if you Chain (or anyone else) know(s) the answers of my questions about SP and have the time to enlighten me, I'd deeply appreciate.

Story Progression isn't pushing woohoo, it's pushing pregnancy, which SP can make happen without the two sims needing to woohoo at all, ever. SP is like "Boom, you are magically pregnant, enjoy your virgin birth." If you don't want pregnancies or want more control over them, you would need to change the pregnancy settings in SP.

Woohooer is more about controlling the "physical" act of woohoo.

TY indignantgirl, that explains why I won't have the notices. I indeed prefer SP doing conception out of the blue, since inactives make me feel like they are but dummies that wander around aimlessly. Poor souls.
