Traveler error stopped me exiting build/buy mode?

The only mod stopping your Sims from traveling to the abyss. Did you end up there anyway? We'll try to help.

Traveler error stopped me exiting build/buy mode?

Hello, first time posting here :)
Yesterday I had my an error that seems to be related to Traveler, I was wondering if someone could help me understand why this error happened?

I was playing in a custom world by my sim reality (Evansdale County), same creator as Storybrook on the recommend worlds page. I had also installed story progression for the first time, though I have been using nraas mods generally for a long time. I had been playing a new game for a few hours when the errors occured.

I went into build/buy mode, purchased a bike rack and bike for my sim and changed it's style in create a style. I then noticed I wasn't able to switch back to live mode. The live mode button stopped being responsive, I was unable to unpause with the top-right corner button either and ended up having to click "edit town" to unstuck my game. Unfortunately, I still couldn't return to game and the save I made from that point was corrupted.

I found a few errors from the moment the game stopped working properly, looks like all except one were from traveler (the other was Mover). I'm not trying to recover the save, just want to understand what caused the error so hopefully avoid having it happen again. For now I've removed traveler, story progression and deleted my script cache.

Basically those errors just mean the UI broke which you already know. Afraid it doesn't tell me why. Not caused by traveler, it just reported it. Sometimes the game just explodes internally and is not really something you did or can prevent. Those large high detailed worlds can really stress things causing the engine to behave in odd ways. Best advice is save often and keep backups.
