Can i slow down vampire skill gain?

No one knows everything this mod can do. Did you know you can tune the size of your sims nostrils with this mod? I'm kidding.

Can i slow down vampire skill gain?

Post by PlumDiddy » February 25th, 2021, 5:02 pm

Hello all. First time posting here :) i posted a question on the forum and someone suggested retuner might be able to solve my problem.
I'd like to slow down the rate at which vampires gain skills. Can i use Retuner to do this? If not, is there another mod that could help me achieve this? Or is this something I'll just have to deal with?
Thanks in advance

If you're looking to eliminate only the vampire skill gains, Retuner should do it, although it does have its limitations. Install it, click on City Hall, and select:

NRaas > Retuner > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.ActorSystems > OccultVampire

Change each kSkillGainModifier[category] to something below 2. The default is 1, which might be fine, but you can set it to whatever you want. I don't think this will stop the extra massive gains at night though. If that bothers you, maybe set the value for each skill category to lower than 1 and say that vampires learn more slowly during the day and more quickly at night, averaging out to 1, or something like that.

There's also a longstanding bug where vampires' skilling rates could be compounded, like double or triple the normal rate, over time. Overwatch fixes this on default settings.
