Is there a way to change your Sims' work schedule?

The original catch all. General game help, banter, things you should probably put in the correct forum, This is the place.

I imagine the main reason for that is probably because everyone would want different versions, depending on their personal preference. Far simpler in a way for individuals to make those changes themselves! :D Hope that works for you!
Makes sense. Well I THINK I did it right, but I'm waiting to get my Sim to the top of the political career (because that's all I changed) to see. Still skeptical though, because I never got the popup saying "Resource has been updated. Commit changes?" like the tutorial said I would. Also it gets a bit confusing whether it's talking about opening/saving files from the folder or somewhere in the S3PE program so I probably screwed it up.

Did you remember to save your changes in Notepad/Notepad ++ (whichever you used to edit the file)? If you forgot to save there, then the changes wouldn't have saved. That would explain the lack of a popup.
Don't be discouraged tough! When you're new at something, the best way to get better is to practice! Feel free to give a shout if you get stuck though

LivvyLizzard - Hi there. There are two very talented and capable players with experience modding the careers xml on this very thread. I am not one of them, but I am sure either would be happy to help you if asked and if they have the time.

And no, there will be no offers of mod assistance or creation in exchange for cash or other rewards. That is not why we are here and it's actually a bit insulting. But not to the point of despair, so let's just not pursue that option. :)
