I think I'm doing something wrong but I'm not sure what. My problem is that I'm not receiving email notifications when a topic I've subscribed to gets a reply.
- I've checked the email address on my account here and it looks correct.
- I've checked the spam folder for that email account and there's nothing in there.
- I've also checked my account settings here and as far as I can tell I've got it set up to send me an email when there's a reply to a topic I'm subscribed to.
- When writing this topic there's a tick in the box that says 'Notify me when a reply is posted' and other topics I've checked seem to show that I'm subscribed to them.
- I do get the red icon on the notifications quick link at the top right of the page when there is a reply.
Please could anyone tell me if there is anything else I can check?
Thank you

Email notifications
We've been having issues where the email server randomly goes into a coma a few times a month since the upgrade in September. I've been checking it periodically to repush registration emails but I'm afraid any other notifications sent when it's in a coma have been being lost. After waiting too long for the vendor to resolve the issue which seems to be related to our OS/firewall combo I've been studying how the email server is written to try to resolve it myself. I've been gradually tweaking things over the past month in an attempt to find the culprit and it seems to have gotten a bit more reliable but still not entirely there yet. Bear with me.

And wouldn't you know it, I got an email notification for your reply Chain.
I hope everything goes well with your tweaking. I assumed it was something I'd gotten wrong in the settings or something which was why I asked. You have so much on your plate maintaining the site and the mods I really didn't want to add any pressure.
I've recently started taking the first baby steps in learning how to code and it's made me realise how much more time consuming and complicated coding is than I thought. I mean I always assumed it took a lot of time and effort but holy mackerel did I underestimate what was involved. So while I respected you and others who do this stuff before, now I have a whole new level of respect.
