I don't know where to start.

I don't know where to start.

Hello. I have installed the traveler mod, but I don't know where to start. I placed a subway on an empty lot.
At City Hall > Traveler > Allow traveler > all of the possible persons. Should I also do something with hidden worlds? It's all on "False" now.
I have riverview and bridgeport. Do I need to install something else?
I am suppose to make a base camp according to the faq but I can't select it at any lot.

What else is there that I do not know? I cannot find anything in the faq or any similar problems when I search the internet.

Traveler adds any worlds you have installed, whether they be EA worlds from EPs, the TS3 store, or custom ones, to the menu of possible destinations. When you travel to another world on a vacation by phone or computer, under EA standard you will only see the three WA worlds, Uni, and Oasis Landing if you have the required EPs. With the Traveler mod, you should also see Riverview and Bridgeport (if you have LateNight), Moonlight Falls (if you have Supernatural), Twinbrook (if you have Ambitions), etc.

Subways have nothing to do with it, those are a form of transport within a world.

Base Camps are not required. If you land in a world that has none by way of Traveler, you will be offered a choice of unoccupied lots on which to stay at no extra cost assuming there are any unoccupied lots ready for usage in the destination world. We like to think of the lodging as being built into the price of the travel ticket, but there are ways to make vacations more expensive using Traveler's options if desired.

Oh thank you. I had no idea. I thought maybe the subway should be used, I don't know why I never thought of using the phone or computer, I think I read past that part in the faq.

My family is in their vacation country now but it seems that all the SP settings need to be done again in this world. Is there a way to copy my old settings and use them in a vacation world?

Perhaps the phone/computer travel method resonates more readily with players who have the WA expansion? That's how EA originally arranged things, Traveler cuts in and replaces the interface and then the travel transition itself with one of its own. In fact, it used to be the case that WA was required for any of this kind of travel to function but that hasn't been true for years now.

The way this is supposed to work is that the first time a foreign world "sees" an NRaas mod, it should pick up all of the settings from the world traveled from. After that, the two (or more) sets of options become independent. Possibly you have not switched SP on yet in the destination world? NRaas > SP > General Options > Enable Progression > True (if you want this).

But the way to get settings from one world into another otherwise is to export them from the source world and import them into the destination. Some of the mods have their own export/import functions, but Overwatch includes a feature that accounts for all of the NRaas mods. NRaas > Overwatch > Immediate > Export (Import). You need to have done the export before having left the first world though or there wouldn't be a Library file created for import to pick things up from.

I think if one has a WA expansion it all would be more obvious indeed to use the phone and the computer. Still don't know what the subway is for (to go to university maybe?) but I made a fancy looking park of it.

Thank you for your help. My family has been on vacation now. Too bad it is not more than a different town with the same rabbit holes, but it was fun to look around at a different place (riverview is beautiful) and let them meet new people. I will get the WA expansion some day to make it more fun.

I have saved my settings with overwatch, thank you for explaining.
My sim got an award for something, I make sure he includes your name in his thank you speech.

The subways are meant to be placed around town as connected traveling points. Having just one doesn't do anything. You have to place at least two. Then your Sim can travel back and forth between them. They are part of the Late Night expansion pack and not University related :)

Cheers
