Just popped in to say hello. I'm still not playing sims but thought I'd just check and make sure everyone is staying safe and to say hello to all my siming friends :)

Hey Littlelambsy! Good to see you! I'm still Sims playing now and then and now again...LOL :)

I don't have great news, but it's not horrible. I tested positive for Covid19. Took the test Wednesday and found out today it was positive. :( So far I'm one of the lucky ones and have only had some mild symptoms. I'd been feeling really crappy the last week or so, but I chalked it up to my allergies of which I deal with constantly. But then I started getting achy and really tired. Still no fever thank goodness. Which for me is odd because I usually get fevers if I have even a mild cold.
What sucks is that I took every precaution imaginable, including working from home. I wear masks at the store, I sanitize my hands and wash regularly..etc I'm thinking I must have caught it either at our local clinic (I had visited twice in the last month thanks to an ear infection from the nasal crap) Or perhaps it was at the grocery store, because I've not been anywhere else in months! Anyway, so far so good. :|

Hope all stays well with you! It's good to hear from you. Take care!

My memory must be beginning to fade. Do we know the OP? Do we like her? :P

Hello Sarah, nice to see you too. I'm doing ok hope you're keeping well.

LOL igazor, its me! remember, the only one sims gang up on and do crazy things to my game!..... especially those .... can't mention them, don't want to get Cupcake all upset.

JohnL83, sorry to hear you tested positive, but glad you're not having serious problems with it. I'm like you, I don't leave my house unless absolutely necessary and then I stress for days wondering if I got anything. I get all my groceries delivered or order them online and drive to the store, they bring out the groceries, put them in the boot and I drive off. Don't even have to get out the car.
You take care and get well soon

Hello ritaxis, I'm still not back to the game but like to pop in and check out what's happening. I'm spending most of my time on Ancestry checking out who my relatives were. That can be very frustrating, but it keeps me busy.

Hi littlelambsy, I'm relatively new here but I was just on the archive of your site downloading everything. I don't have a clue how to work it all yet, but I have high hopes :).

JohnL83, I'm so sorry to hear you've gotten ill, and I hope you recover quickly. Who knows how you got it. My husband has been working in a retail pharmacy in an area with a consistently bad break out and *knocks on wood*, hasn't gotten sick yet, but I honestly expect it any day now. I had to remove some of the vector diseases because they hit too close to home.

I don't want to make this about me, we are all happy to see Littlelambsy! :)

But I have to say it's been a very odd thing, this Covid. I get these waves of feeling horrible, then I feel okay, then horrible. It's off and on all day, like nothing I've ever had before. But still no fever or breathing issues, thank goodness. I have certainly been more ill before. (I was bedridden at the age of 31 with mononucleosis for 3 weeks! and didn't feel myself again for almost 2 months!)

Still, if anything, sharing my experiences with Covid may ease the minds of some of you reading and I hope if anyone of you get this it's mild. It's so odd how Covid is so erratic depending on who has the virus. My best to everyone.<3

thebriamon, its nice to hear you've downloaded some of my stuff. I really enjoyed making them all. In fact, I liked creating more than I liked playing, so I'm glad they're still being used. Have fun :)

JohnL83, at the appointments I've had, they always take your temperature before you go in. With your experience it looks like that's not very reliable. My temperature is always low, so for me, if they took my temperature and said it was normal, then I know I have a fever.... so I can be deceiving.

I hope that absolutely everyone who has been absent on the site for a long time feels good, or at least relatively.

JohnL83, [...]hang in there. I don't know how hopeful this is, but one of my relatives also received this very unpleasant news from the hospital, stayed at home for two weeks, and then it turned out that everything was fine. Maybe it was an almost asymptomatic virus, or maybe it was a mess with the results in the hospital.

(Post edited by wiki organizer; the kind wishes are appreciated but this is NOT the place to debate the effectiveness of mask wearing, kindly take that discussion someplace else)
