so just a quick update to close off this topic, I went back into my game, went into Retuner and found the Give flowers thing and sure enough the "allow autonomy" was enabled:
clicked on city hall > Nraas > retuner > settings > general > social interactions > Give Flowers > Allow autonomous
can change it to either true or false, by default it is true
(it was not called give gift, they are 2 separate interactions...earlier today for some reason I kept thinking give flowers was a "sub" option of give gift but it's a separate interaction per Igazor)
I can finally fix my NPCs!!!! lolll

Disable autonomous give gift interaction for NPCs
hmm interesting, I would have thought that generally romantic interactions would be more frequently used if sims had the flirty/romantic traits, or insane or inappropriate or smth like that, I've seen NPCs w/o any of those types of traits still giving flowers to everybody hahahaTurjan wrote: ↑October 31st, 2020, 9:36 pmI see. The "give flowers" action is used by sims with low charisma score and/or none of the facilitating traits, because they have hardly any other option for a romantic interaction. And that's the main reason why it is that often seen on inactives. My active sims usually don't have that issue in the first place, as they have lots of other romantic interactions to choose from.

This interaction is regulated on the sim as if sim was an object. Btw, this interaction arouses a very high interest. I mean, this action raises the indicators of communication and fun. So by default, this will often be done by absolutely everyone. How I hated those infuriating bouquets. The addon with generations is very good, but it contains too many annoying interactions. And bouquets are not the limit of madness. Sometimes I wonder why I should read fairy tales to unfamiliar neighborhood children...

In real life, I usually try to tutor them in algebra or (depending on their age) calculus without being asked to do so. They tend to leave me alone after that. Sometimes that strategy is also effective with adult co-workers who don't really know me very well yet.Sara_Darkees post_id=78216 time=1604241403 user_id=18005 wrote: Sometimes I wonder why I should read fairy tales to unfamiliar neighborhood children...
