I apologize if this is an incredibly stupid question.
I'm wanting to replace some of the base-game careers with custom careers. Is there a way to hide the existing careers, so they don't appear on rabbitholes/in the paper/in sims' wants? Or to make a custom career actually replace an existing career?
(I know I can rewriting the existing careers by changing the strings and the careers XML, I've done that. But I want to be able to add branches and things.)

Hiding base game careers
I was talking about something like this with some friends on my Job Centre forum. As an experimental idea, we were wondering if overriding the base careers is a possibility, by using the same GUID. Not sure if that would work correctly but I can't immediately see why it wouldn't.lytefoot wrote: ↑October 11th, 2020, 2:44 pmI apologize if this is an incredibly stupid question.

If it did, you could simply create a custom career, using the same GUID as the career you want to override, then add your branches etc.
