I have Master Controller, Story Progression, and Careers installed (I have most NRaas mods installed, but these are the most direct to my question).
I'm playing a small town with only about eight households, and I'm intentionally switching between them rather than play just one family. The problem is that when I switch out of a family, I often (sometimes always) get a notice pretty shortly that sims have been placed in a new career. I've had to reset some of them multiple times! I have set "Allow Find Job" to False for specific sims. I have created a caste with the "Allow Find Job" turned off and put them in that caste. So far, nothing is helping. I don't really want to set it to manually assign all jobs, but I fear I'll have to do that if I can't figure this out.
Help me work out what's going on, please and thank you.

In NRaas > SP > General Options > Options:Careers, do you have "Assign Dream Job to Employed" set to True? When I was having this problem in my town, it was because I'd inadvertently left this set to True and it was taking my sims out of high-level, high-paying jobs and giving them level 1 jobs in other fields. 3 families in town couldn't afford their bills and went in debt before I realized what was going on.

Sims keep getting switched into different careers
Oh, that's a good suggestion. I'll check that, too. Thanks.
What I ended up doing was actually starting the game over. It was a new playthrough in a new town (user made) and I noticed more and more glitches happening as it went on. The career thing was only one of them. So I restarted (was only about a week in) and so far things are working the way they should. So I don't know what was up with that, but it seems better now.
Still going to check out that setting, though!
