1 sim in Lunar Lakes

Post by Sonshine » April 25th, 2020, 1:00 am

Hi, has anybody else had a constant series of trouble w/one sim in that town? I am right now. She and her husband were lining in the house that was called spider something (I don't remember the whole name). I evicted them in edit town and moved them to a larger home. I am still getting error after error w/her. :( I bulldozed the other house b/c it was so tiny. Is it safe to evict them again and just delete them? I don't know what else to do. I don't want to have the entire game riddled w/script errors.

I'm not very good at reading these ScriptErrors but I believe there's something wrong with her career outfit. Try taking her into CAS and changing it. :-)

That is part of it, but I believe the sim in question does not have a proper career outfit to spin into when it is time to go to work because she is pregnant. :)

So why would the game be trying to send her to work if she's pregnant? Is that something that might have been changed in a setting which would have every pregnant sim trying to do that if it's not changed back?

Under EA Standard, many careers do not allow pregnant sims to work or do not allow them to work after the trimester where they would start showing. Thus there are no maternity career outfits automatically arranged for. Many players do not find this realistic and use mods from here (and elsewhere) to stop blocking this kind of thing but that can in some cases lead to the issue described where the career outfits need to be adjusted to allow for maternity.

Some careers at some levels do not really have specific career outfits associated with them and I suppose sims may pick up maternity work clothes along the way on their own with no need for the player to intervene.

I play 7 sim day pregnancies in my game and you cannot tell my town's pregnant sims that they need to stay home with their feet up (so to speak) for that long or for even half of that. Somewhere around the 6th day...maybe. Depends on the sim and the career. :)

So if mods were in place to allow working while pregnant, would making career outfits for them stop the script errors? If yes, then would it have to be done for every sim who becomes pregnant in town or is there a way to change a setting to allow for these career outfits to be done automatically?

I believe I did turn maternity leave off. Most of the time, I don't really like it. I'll check her later. I put them into a bigger house yet and haven't gotten the script errors, but we'll see on that one.
