What channel colors do I use for facial hair/hair?

Post by t888 » February 5th, 2016, 4:01 am

I'm making a custom facial hair but I'm unsure what colors to use for the color map, or whatever its called, like which color is used as there are, I think 3 or 4, like the root, tip, highlights, and the base. I need somebody to tell me what colors to use, thats all. Thanks.

Make a custom hair color in CAS and set the 4 hair colors to pure red, green, blue and white (or something like that) and take screenshots of EA hair and beards. You will get a feeling for how they use the 4 colors.

I've tried that but it seems something is still off and I'm not even sure of which colors to use for them in particular as opposed to different colors to equal channels for costume make up and such as I've done them before. I simply need someone to tell me which colors equal which of the 4 channels.

Take a look at the Control texture in this tut http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=T ... air_Basics

"Red is roots, green is highlights, and blue is tips." Dunno what represents the 4th channel (alpha maybe?)

Hope this might help
