Windows 10
I've downloaded a GWX control panel because I've still got Windows 7 and I don't even want Wondows 10 on this computer at all.I went HERE to find out about Windows 10 and how to avoid it.I even downloaded the program that lets you check for installers for Windows 10 and get rid of that junk.I'd already blocked GWX in my firewall and had partially blocked upgrading to Windows 10 on my own before getting this program.

@Matt Windows 10 has come a long way since the initial launch though. But I can respect many people don't want to risk it and that's perfectly acceptable.
Please note with the links above: It's not really recommended to download just any tool that you find on the internet. Make sure these sources are trustworthy and you know what you are downloading.

The link that Matt_holland provided is not for a program, but for instructions on how to stop getting that Windows 10 icon on the taskbar from reappearing and for how to uninstall and hide updates for Windows 10 in your Windows Update menu. I, personally, followed those instructions and they worked. I do have to keep checking all the updates that pop up to find any new ones that deal with Windows 10, but I just hide them whenever they do. I don't allow automatic installation of Windows updates nor automatic downloads of those updates. I get a notice they are available, check to make sure I want/need them, then I choose to download and install them.
