Are you sure the Sim in question is your new opponent? It's safe to assume you have Careers installed I guess since you were rolling one.

I am 100% positive, not only did the option to challenge them come up (be it greyed out), but when I tried to call opponent it said "X is already on the lot", X being the name of the sim I was clicking, looking for the local option. I have both Career and Career School running, besides about half of the other Nraas mods.

If you hovered on it, what did it say? Perhaps the challenger had low energy motive or was fatigued. That would cause it to be greyed out.

The option "Challenge to ranked sparring match" was greyed out because we weren't in Shang Simla. The option "Challenge to LOCAL ranked sparring match" simply was not there, not in the first pie menu nor in any of the submenus I checked.

Oh I see. I misunderstood when you said it appeared. Interesting. I'm 99% certain it works so I'm not sure what's happening. If you have debugenabler you can do a test menu interactions on the challenger and see what the script error says about why the local interaction isn't appearing. Is your game in English?

Yes my game is in English. I do have DebugEnabler, I will try the test menu interactions as soon as I am done building my sims house in a new town. Is there anything specific I'd be looking for or can I just ctrl-F for "local" and see if that shows up in the script error? Thanks!

Yes, locate the interaction and see what it says under it for why the menu test is failing.

Welp, I tried to test it by putting her in a new save, and I am back to square one. Now I have the bug again if I choose "request new spar opponent" on the computer, it just cancels itself out within a second and my sim does nothing but standing there. Previously that was solved by placing an Academy somewhere in the world, and making sure some sims had a high martial arts skill. But this time around both of that did nothing, and I still can't do ranked matches. Anyone any clue what I can try next?

Do they do the typing animation at all? Are you using a desktop or laptop computer in game?

No, they just look at the computer and cancel it right away.

Looks like someone else reported the same issue so perhaps it is busted. I'll note to try it out.
