So here's something weird happening with my game. I had my sim check the lotto records in the future so he could win it big in the present, and when that happened, I noticed my sim didn't get the insider tip moodlet that's supposed to come up. I didn't think much of it, so I had him enter the lottery.
He didn't win.
So I got fed up and decided to manually add the moodlet myself... when I noticed the moodlet is COMPLETELY missing from the game!

Please help!

Any mods that alter moodlets? I would first look to see if you got any outdated tuning mods that alter moodlets.

No.

Remove all mods except these and check the moodlet list. Still missing?

Also note if you're viewing that list with a sim younger than young adult, they may be excluded from that buff.

The sim is a YA.

Well, I tried loading the save without any mods installed (except the NRaas suite)... and the game crashed before the save could load.

That's interesting and definitely shouldn't occur. Do you use Errortrap? Try a fresh world just to test since that save is giving you grief without mods.

Yes, I use Errortrap. Also, sorry to ask, but is there another way to figure out this problem without having to disable all mods?

No because it could be one of your other mods that might be causing the problem or it could be a problem with the world or save your currently playing or maybe the game itself.
That's why he asked if you would do a test game with a new world with just Nraas mods.

Maybe try it with just MasterController (remove the Storyprogression Module too). Some Mods have other dependencies, like Wohooer has modules for Store content etc and maybe there are some others..
My testgame for my own Mods is super unstable because I have it on limited Mods to load faster.. Haven't found out so far what I am doing wrong. So try only a handfull of Mods where you can definitely tell they don't rely on anything else.

Also disabling Mods is less work than you think. Rename the Sims 3 folder in your documents. Start the game. Stop the game. You have a new folder now.. Copy only some Mods into the new folder.. Test game. After you are done delete the new folder and rename the old one back to the old name.
