Ani's Bistro Oven

Post by littlelambsy » April 29th, 2019, 12:39 am

I seem to be having a weird problem with my open diner and restaurants. I've just started playing in a new world (Amesbury Pointe), and have set up my restaurants with ani's bistro oven, hired staff and set shifts. Normally, they would teleport into the restaurant and start preparing food and serving customers. But, in this new world, they teleport into strange buildings, way across town from where they're suppose to be.... places like the nectary, the arcade and other strange places where there is no bistro oven.

I kept getting notices about stuck sims and when I went to look, they were walking about (idling) as they would while waiting for customers, while dressed in their work outfits (chefs apron and waitress outfit). Does anyone know why they're doing this? When I reset them, they then appear where they should be.

Perhaps a broken world? Is this the only routing oddness you've noticed?

This sounds similar to scenarios we've seen described where sims protesting at City Hall look like they are under the ocean (they aren't drowning and are acting as though they are in front of City Hall) and sims who think they are doing laundry but go practically off the map into a forest to do so, not the broken butler thing but just regular resident sims.

You could try moving your lots around, the restaurant ones in particular. But have to agree it's almost always a broken world design that causes sims to appear to be someplace totally different than where they are acting that they are.

Thanks Chain and igazor, That seems to be the only routing issues I've had. I turned off auto reset in OW so I could see if and where routing issues occurred and these are the only ones I got. I've never played this world before and I know some worlds are wonky. Once I built it up and placed all my sims, I didn't know what I wanted to do next. Now I have a plan... build up another world LOL :)
