There is another option. You can set the threshold temperature so sims don't overheat or get sunburned. I did this because my sims were always getting sunburned while throwing pool parties. Just follow this path to set the temperature -
Nraas >Retuner > Settings > General > By XML > Sims3.gameplay.ActorSystems > Sim Temperature > kTemperatureThreshholdToGetSunburned = set this number High, mine is set to 110.0 which I don't think the temperature goes that high so sims will never get sunburned.
You can also give them the Loves the Heat LTR, this will also stop them from overheating. Hope that helps

That'll stop sunburning but not overheating a sims body temperature is based on the world temperature which will rise or fall depending on how hot or cold it is. Loves the Heat is a trait that only allows them to stay out in the heat longer, Immune to Heat is probably what you're thinking of as that caps their body temp at 60 in hot weather just like Immune to Cold will prevent the cold related moodlets and keep their body temp from going below -60.littlelambsy wrote: ↑January 27th, 2019, 11:18 amThere is another option. Thanks sittingbear, I've never noticed because my sims are outside at the beach in the heat and don't seem to be overheated. But then they swim in the ocean and I have blu's mod.
I guess you can change the temperature of the world in Tempest. Not in game at the moment so don't have the path for that.

When a sims body temp gets to a certain point they'll try to do things to cool or warm themselves so when it's hot the first thing they'll do to cool off since you have blu's mod is go swim.littlelambsy wrote: ↑January 27th, 2019, 12:28 pmThanks sittingbear, I've never noticed because my sims are outside at the beach in the heat and don't seem to be overheated. As for changing the world temp according to the one of the Seasons Manager XML's (there's 10 of them I had to look at ). A Heat Wave starts at 90 and a Cold Wave at 20. Only guessing but I assume that capping the world high temp at 89 (87 to be safe) in the summer would stop a Heat Wave and capping the world low at 21 (23 to be safe) in the winter, fall and spring (night time low in spring and fall can drop to 20) would stop a Cold Wave. But if that stops sims from getting to hot or cold dunno there doesn't seem to be anything that mentions what temp causes them to be too hot or cold.

Thanks for all your replies and help.
Good to know that removing the moodlet doesn't help.
I don't want to change the climate or make the sim immune to heat. That defeats the purpose of having a hot desert world.

In that case, I'd make sure there's somewhere they can retreat to, like a hut with some skill object, a lounge chair to nap in or a tent. Then when they cool down, they can carry on with what they were doing.
