"My love" buff to married couples

@Sarah_Sims,

yes, me too I was referring to the CAS - Create A Style - mode, when we enter build/buy, select an item, say a piece of furniture, a table, chair, or any other item, and change the patterns, textures, the colors and such, customize it, to fit our taste, so about this, we're talking about the same CAS, yes, I'm using the same Create-A-Style tool as you point out in the links to the guides from wiki and Carl's guide

I see the userPresets.package file, as you pointed out where to look for it, but I never deleted that particular file, only the basic 5 files I mentioned before, never this userPresets file, as on my end, I wasn't even aware is there, until you mentioned about it

so, deleting or not the cache files - only the 5 files, not the userPresets file - makes no difference as I see it so far, the issue I'm reporting here is still there, I am creating a custom item - say a table - I save it, I save the game, I quit TS3, then, later on, relaunch TS3, load my last saved game (so I can continue from where I left) and check my previously saved item, that table, and it's not there, on the list, while I am positive I saved before

yet, some old custom items, saved a while back, soon after I did a fresh reinstall of the TS3, are still there as it should, working just fine

so, for some odd reason, I can see and use old custom items, yet I can't see nor use new custom items I just saved recently, this is puzzling to me and somewhat annoying, considering I take joy in making and using my own custom collections of items, with colors-textures matching my own taste

I appreciate your suggestions on how to fix this issue if it can be fixed

@ TreyNiutz
you said somehow you reconfigured things to make it work, so did you managed to make it work as you want in the end?
if so, how did you do that reconfiguration?
I was using a Windows symbolic link to put the file on a RAM drive. I 'reconfigured' things so I no longer use a symbolic link for that file anymore and not the file resides where it's supposed to be - in the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 folder. I was thinking that moving the file to a RAM drive might help loading textures in CASt and custom textured clothing and objects, since that's where they are saved AFAIK. But for some reason I was never able to determine it seemed that the file was never updated when I saved the game.
me too I have a feeling it's some kind of file that's not updating itself when the game is saved, or not loaded properly when the saved game is loaded... what file and why is this happening, that's a mystery so far... hehe...
I love the mods for TS3, makes the game so much better - a big "Thank You" for the creators for making the mods and sharing those with us all and for the admin team maintaining this site
