Any way to control what temp sims use outside wear?
I always find myself annoyed when my sims go out to the park, with lots of snow on the ground, and it's like 35 F outside but they're in their everyday wear shorts and tank top lol. Any way to control that? Also, is there any way to randomize the bust size of sims in town? I dont know if this is the right place to ask either question but any help is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there are some adjustments that can be made on the temperature to change clothes thing in NRaas Retuner. But on default settings, if sims are staying in Everyday wear when it's 35 F, then I doubt it's the settings that need to be changed as from the sound of it these sims are at least sometimes ignoring the default ones. Can you not order them to change their clothes or force them to be wearing Outerwear using MasterController?
For randomization of sliders on a town full of already existing sims, as opposed to those newly born and arriving, I think what you would want is Consort's Project Landslide mod. There's a bit of a learning curve involved on that one, though.

According to the FullEATuning file, Sims (except Toddlers) change into outerwear at 32 degrees F. Toddlers change at 40 F. Once Sims are in their outerwear, they'll stay in it until 50 F.
I haven't tested these myself (winter is banned in my games), but the tuning settings are located at:
I wouldn't be surprised if there is some variation of the exact temperature individual Sims change to outerwear, because I've seen settings in other searches that look like a Sim's temperature can be altered by some Traits and Moodlets.

You can change the temperature at which sim change into outerwear with Retuner. See this page:
Members-Retuner-Settings
and then do a text search with your browser for 'outerwear'. I've changed kTemperatureToSwitchToOuterwear to either 40 or 45 in my games (I don't remember which). I didn't realize there's another setting for toddlers and insane sims, so thank for Tropical Insomniac's post I'll probably change those settings in Retuner the next time I play.
Just by observation it seems to me that sims change into outerwear depending on the temperature at the moment they go outside. If the temperature drops while they are outside I don't ever see them automatically change into outerwear. So, sometimes I use MC>Basic>Outfit to change them myself.

Well, my reply was almost useless then. I didn't realize the default was so low at 32 F.
Do the sim's own temperatures as also suggested really matter? That's what dictates when they begin freezing (turning into a block of ice) or suffering effects from excessive heat, but although they may know enough to come indoors eventually I'm not sure sims are smart enough to change clothes autonomously just because their own temperatures are too low/high as opposed to the temps outside. Or am I wrong about that as well?

I'm not sure. It was something I noticed while I was looking for something else. It was interesting enough that I remembered I'd seen it, but I never looked into how exactly it worked. I'm not even sure I could figure out how exactly it works without getting into script modding territory. Really I only mentioned it as an additional disclaimer.igazor wrote: ↑January 15th, 2019, 3:16 amDo the sim's own temperatures as also suggested really matter? FWIW, I would've thought the default for changing into outerwear would be higher than 32 F too. Maybe one of the Seasons devs was a polar bear.
