Remember, I just found you guys in October and was still fairly new to the game at that point.
Can you import your saved mods while you are in edit town? I usually add my CC (houses and venues) to a new game before I create my sims. Can I import my saved mods while I'm in Edit Town or do I have to create my sims add them to the game and then import my saved mods like I'm currently doing or is there a way to add them to the town before hand?
Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome.
Cheers,
Bowlady

As far as I know, the import of mods is possible only through the use of the Cityhall or computer. If you are afraid that something bad will happen without proper settings, put the game on pause immediately after the start.

This is also why jumping into Create a Household (CAH) before the game has really finished loading gives us EA's version of CAS rather than MasterController's as MC is just not available for use yet (then sliders over a certain point won't work, no Compact View, and there will be other MC related things the player doesn't expect to be missing). There really needs to be an active sim/household and the game clock needs to be moving forward smoothly before we can say that the mods have taken hold and are ready for settings changes or imports.
What we can do is create tuning files, one for each of the major mods, that set the preferred options to be used as defaults when no other settings changes have happened yet. But many of us do not take the time to do that as the mods' default settings are good enough for a few game clock minutes until we can import or arrange things the way we really want them back in live mode.

It's a shame, by the way, that the compact CAS does not work in the stylist's workshop. The developers have spoiled one of the best careers, adding a lot of miserable color options for each outfit. What a pity that this useful option is only available when calling MC on sim.igazor wrote: ↑January 7th, 2019, 11:18 amThis is also why jumping into Create a Household (CAH) before the game has really finished loading gives us EA's version of CAS rather than MasterController's as MC is just not available for use yet (then sliders over a certain point won't work, no Compact View, and there will be other MC related things the player doesn't expect to be missing).

It should if you have the MC Integration add-on module in play. This isn't working for you?Sara_Darkees wrote: ↑January 7th, 2019, 11:38 amIt's a shame, by the way, that the compact CAS does not work in the stylist's workshop.

No, I just didn't know this module was necessary. I beg your pardon.

MC Integration will impose MC's version on all instances of CAS and its subsets such as Plan Outfit on dressers, Change Appearance on mirrors, testingcheatsenabled CAS, and I thought the Stylist station -- this one I wasn't actually as sure of when mentioned because I haven't played that career or used that object in such a long time.
The one place where it is known to not be effective is Create a Household (CAH) when the game first starts up because MC hasn't had a chance to load yet.
