is there any way to shorten the duration of being 'germy'?

Post by sheridanhoughton » December 7th, 2018, 8:42 am

I play my sims with the lifespan - a day for a year - so they live about 76 days. The 'germy' moodlet that started to appear when I installed Seasons lasts for 2 days, which equates to 2 years - far too long. Is there any way to shorten the duration of this without just using the option key to delete it?

thanks

I think you'd have to create your own tuning mod of the Buffs xml and set the duration for the Germy buff to be lower.  This is not something you can do with Retuner.  You can also try getting your sims a flu shot each Fall.  That should protect them for a year.  My sims often get the germy moodlet in summer when there's no option to get a flu shot.

Do you have the canning station from the Store?  If so, get the Canning Station Overhaul mod from MTS.  That adds a recipe for Double-Boiled Ginsing Broth.  Requires 3 ginsing (from the University EP) and cures the germy moodlet.

thanks for the information. I will try and get the flu shots next Fall. I hadn't bothered getting the University EP because I didn't like it in Sims 2. It didn't enhance the way I played.

The Simmunity LTR from Seasons acts like a permanent Flu Shot. Although that might not fit well with some people's storylines.
