What is considered attractive in consider attractiveness interaction?
I believe that consider attractiveness interaction is from woohooer, right? I was wondering as to what is considered attractive in the sims world. How does woohooer get the score or 1-10?

I don't know where that interaction is from, TBH. I also don't know exactly what goes into the score, but I only get a score of 1 or 10 in my games. Nothing in between. I do know that the relationship between the 2 sims factors into it. Not just the relationship value but also the nature (best friends at 100 vs. married couple at 100, for example). All the sim couples I've married with a 'consider attractiveness' score of 1 ended up with a score of 10 after they were married with a relationship bar maxed out (i.e. at 100). edit: So, I never use a score of 1 to decide whether to pair sims up or not. A score of 10 between 2 non-romantic sims though can sometimes influence my decision.

The interaction and scoring on that interaction are from the game itself, not from mods. And yes, many of us find that it's been broken for a very long time with scores always landing at 1 or 10 but never or very rarely anything in between.
Here is the coding behind and some discussion of the game's attraction formula, unmodded: http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?p ... ost4052680
What Woohooer provides is Scan Room, an interaction on the active sim themselves when the intended targets are in the same room with them. Together with the mod's Scoring add-on module and options like Trait Based Scoring, I find that one to be much more reliable and fun to use than something that always reports the wrong scores. On Scan Room, anything over 100 indicates some attraction is there. Higher scores will mean more powerful attraction, how high they can go depends on other factors such as whether Woohooer's KamaSimtra skill and its Renown scores are in play. Scores of 0 mean either the sims don't really know each other yet or they are blocked from being attracted for some reason (closely related, inapproprate ages, wrong gender, etc.).

I didnt even know scan room interaction was an option and I have woohooer. But now that I think of it, I probably dont have the scoring add-on. The trait based scoring, is that part of the scorin add-on, or just in woohooer by default?

Trait based scoring and its related options are part of the Woohooer Scoring add-on module. I'm pretty sure (could be mistaken) that the Scan Room feature is there regardless, it's just that without Scoring it would use a different algorithm.

I'm trying the scan room now with scoring add-on added, but I'm running into some problems. When I click scan room and the list of sims appears, they all have rating of 0000. I put down like 20 sims with random traits just to test and I'm surprised that nobody has a different rating.

Has your sim met these folks yet, though? This isn't a measure of potential intitial attraction like the game provides (way over the top usually in that case), your active sim has to know and know something about a sim to score higher than 0. If your sim doesn't know any of the traits of the targets at all and they don't know yours, there is nothing to score in that regard. At least, I believe that's the way it works in part.

It's a shame we can't set more guidelines. I hate to seem like a jerk, but let's face it, some sims are not at all attractive and I hate when my attractive sims flirt or hook up with them when I'm not looking. I had my most attractive female in Twinbrook hook up with the Bayless son once they aged to YA. I decided to let it happen and ugh! their poor kids! What a terrible stereotype that poor family is for the swamp town.

I think you might be confusing the game's overall multi-factor attraction system with the much less objective physical kind. Scan Room isn't for looking over a room full of strangers and deciding who "looks hot" tonight or who has physcial attributes that the active sim prefers over others (beyond athletic fitness generally and things like not being excessively over or underweight). Taking attraction scores in that direction will be the point of NRaas Chemistry, a mod that is still in its early stages of development and not ready for use yet.JohnL83 post_id=60829 time=1544192729 user_id=18010 wrote:

On the Bayless family, funny you should mention that, I've found myself having to comment on both the EA forums and on MTS when the subject has come up. In my long-running game, one of my sims who also has very distinctive features, not the same ones, has partnered up with grown-up Tay and they are very happy together. They don't have any kids yet, but I was curious at one point and ran a bunch of PlayWithGenetics tests on existing sims using the two of them as genetic donors. My conclusion was that 3/4 of their kids will be fine, the remaining 1/4, if they actually have enough kids for this to be statistically meaningful, will need some minor adjustments around the ears perhaps. Leave Tay alone, he can't help having the genetics he was born with or having come from a less then economically fortunate household.
