Wait, they changed the .exe file that the game runs off of? That seems pretty shady to me. As there wasn't enough shady stuff tied to this update...

It's using TS3 because it's booting from the launcher. 1.67 does the same thing when you use the launcher. TS3 is the main boot executable, TS3W is a wrapper that contains the engine but will boot the game too (on 1.67 anyhow, now it probably runs home to Origin).

Well crap on a cracker.... I know that I have always had my auto updates turned off as I have mods a many and cc etc...... but origin and this new patch crap uploaded anyway, when I turned on my rig today what the heck, so I now have this new update?? will stuff work as before who knows, man am I confused now.

@Eveebella If you have any Core mods you'll want to take those out the testing one for Error Trap is here <a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Update+Hist ... Testing</a>
The rest should be okay but take out Untranslated Key if you have it and I think NoCD if you also have it

namaradus thanks for that info I will do as you said, I do not have nocd or untranslated key so should be good, and I did check and auto update was turned off and it did still update, not sure what is going on there. I did play for a bit and could not bypass the launcher and it is way slower to load but not much else issue wise at the monent.

Luckily there aren't that many Core mods out there but unfortunately Delphy's Dashboard incorrectly lists Script Mods as Core Mods so it can be a chore to find out what's what sometimes.

u know why they r doing this to get people to buy sims 4 i betcha lol, i haven't up graded it yet but haven't been playing, have been playing else where lol Alice shut up

I still have the 167 patch and had to add the NoCD Mod because of this patch blocking me from using digital copies.I got that Mod so I could stop using the disk to load the game and avoid breaking the disk or my optical drive from having to use a disk for the game.I'm already hearing enough to make me not want this patch so far.

I Agree With playfulalice 100 % this is just a cheap Tatic Trying to Get us The Sims 3 Players to Stop Playing Sims 3 and Start Playing Sims 4 they Know sims 4 is dying
