I have Story Progression installed, I have the Money module installed, but I can't figure out how to enable loans/debt. I though that a "Request Loan" option should appear on the Business rabbithole, but it's not there.

According to documention, I should be able to go to nraas > Story Progression > General Options > Options:Money > Options: Debt and Taxes ... but that last step ("Options: Debt and Taxes") is not appearing.

Is there some setting that has to be enabled for Debts & Taxes to work?

My Sims are never going to get their Resort up to 5 stars unless they can take out a loan to improve it!

The first thing to check, sorry if this sounds too obvious, is that SP's version of progression is actually running. If it isn't, then either EA's story progression is in control or you have none, depending on your Game Options settings.

On City Hall or an in-game computer, NRaas > SP > General Options > Enable Progression

If this is False, then many of SP's options won't show because without the progression engines running, they just wouldn't be relevant.

Yep, it's running (Enable Progression = True). 

Other Story Progression functionality and other Story Progression modules are working. Just no Options:Debt & Taxes under Options:Money

That's puzzling. Sounds like the SP Money module alone is not loading then, or is not loading all the way. You are certain you unzipped the package file and it is actually in place with the others?

Have you cleared (deleted) your scriptCache.package file since adding SP Money? It's one of the four often suggested to be cleared cache files on the top level of your TS3 user game folder in Documents.

If that's no help, perhaps try removing the module, re-download it and put a fresh copy back in place, clear the caches, and try again.

Yeah, I've cleared all the cache files mulitple times, I've re-downloaded and re-installed, StoryProgression is running, I've started new games. FWIW, also, I'm on a Mac, I'm upgraded to the most current patch (1.67). I'm playing in the standard Isla Paradiso world that comes with the Island Paradise EP.

From City Hall, the nraas > Story Progression > General Options > Options:Money screen has the following options displayed:

• Harvest Crops
• Options: Fees and Support
• Options: Sales
• Rich Threshold
• Speed
• Stories
• Wealth Threshold

But no "Options: Debt & Taxes."

Those other options (e.g. "Fees and Support") would not show up if I had not unzipped the package file and installed it in the Mods folder.

 

I'm sorry, but that is not correct. There is at least one option under Fees and Support that exists without the SP Money module, so that category would still show up without the module present. There are none under Debt and Taxes without the module, so that category would be missing. Between that and requesting a loan not shoing up on the business building, I still claim that SP Money is just not loading on you for whatever reason or at least it is not loading completely.

Another thing to check, under SP > Sim Options on any resident sim in town, do you have Money:Allow Purchsase Deeds and options for Income and Property Tax rates? Those all require SP Money as well.

If you are absolutely certain that the base mod and Money module are in place, and are both current versions, and SP's progression is enabled, then the only other thing I can suggest is a MasterController Reset Everything from the Town menu on City Hall to see if that shakes things loose. Maybe our developer will have another suggestion when he sees this thread.
