I am having this wierd issue where my Sim keeps losing his boss.

To be specific, I was playing Gunther Goth, CEO in the Business career, and I was trying to make it so that Nancy Landgraab was his boss. At first he had coworkers but no boss. Whenever I set Nancy to be his boss, everything was fine until I tried to use the "Suck Up to Boss" tone at work. Whenever I tried to choose that tone, the tone would immediately switch to "business as usual" and in the career panel he would once again have no boss. Nothing similar happens if I tell him to "chat at water cooler". I tried to turn off "Manage Bosses" in SP and it made no difference.

I just wanted to add that Gunther transferred to Level 7 in the Political career, which is Mayor. I tried to set his boss to be Vita Alto, who is level 6. Once again, when I tried to choose the "suck up to boss" tone for that career, she was removed from the boss role and the tone switched to "business as usual." In addition, a townie was suddenly promoted to governor and that townie was assigned to be his boss. So it looks like the mod is rejecting any boss at a lower level than he is. I thought that bosses only had to be level 5 in their career or higher?
