I came here to report this too :p meanwhile, thankfully we can use debug!

I have a question though on the hybrid function... if I were to create a plantsim mermaid, would this be a way to force the hydration static option to apply to the drying up the mermaid is plagued by? Since hydration is designed with plantsim in mind... maybe we can TRICK the system?

Hi! Any word on fixes for this? I can't find my old Hybrid file to go back to and my fairy Sims just live to bloom stuff... :) Thanks so much for any info.

.. And going back to v8 appears to have completely and totally horked my entire game. Now I can assign hybrid status to my Sims, and I can save, but I can't load the game. I get a "serious error." Ugh, I wonder what I did... I put everything back, at least I thought.

(If anyone's curious, I got everything back in order. I'm sorry to spam, just thought I'd note what I did to get it all working again. This page helped me: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Gam ... ache_Files, plus going under "internet options" in Explorer and deleting caches and history there. I still can't use Bloom, but at least everything's back to where it was an hour or so ago. Very sorry to spam - just noting it here in case anybody else has trouble one day.)

(Re-posting this to fix typos)

Okay, a few things to note here. The multiple posts are fine since we do not yet have the ability to edit our own threads.

1 - Hybrid v9 is still available for download. Click on "Pages and Files" on the left side toolbar and filter to "Hybrid." Or use this link to find it in the short list it should produce.
http://nraas.wikispaces.com/space/content?q=hybrid

2 - It is not surprising that Hybrid v8 would have broken everything on a current patch level. It was not intended for patch levels above 1.57. The older v9 was intended for Patch 1.63 but it should be fine on the current patch levels as well as I don't believe the later ones changed anything significant that it impacts, it just won't have the other changes and fixes that v10 added.
<a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Hybrid%20Re ... 20Notes</a>

3 - It is standard procedure to clear the five top level cache files from the TS3 user game folder whenever the contents of Mods\Packages changes in any way. The relevant cache in this case should have been the one called scriptCache.package but it wouldn't have hurt to clear the other four on that level as well. Many (not all) of us do this after every game session anyway. Changing script mods around while not clearing the scriptCache before launching the game again is, am sorry to say, always asking for trouble of some kind.

Internet browser caches and history have nothing to do with mods.

And finally, the issue with Bloom function not working has been asked about on several threads more recently although I do see that they were scattered about on different message boards here so to be fair we'll grant some leeway on that since these discussion are not always easy to find. The issue has been noted and is being worked on for the next version of Hybrid as Chain said. The place to watch is really the Mod Updates History Testing page. When we do have movement on this issue, it most likely will come in the form of a beta testing v11 of the mod when it's ready for those who wish to try it out and then later, of course, we would expect a fully released version.

That should be sufficient information, there will be no more discussions on when will it be ready as that is actually a violation of our Posting Guidelines as listed on our homepage. Sorry if that sounds overly grumpy, not enough coffee yet this morning, and thank you for understanding.

Thank you for the info! I'd missed that rule and will remember it for the future.

Literally, I couldn't find that page you listed at all. It's exactly what I needed! I even ran a search for the filename. It took a while to see it under "Pages and Files" after seeing your link to it, above. Thanks for posting it.

Just to clear the air, I know that moving up and then back to the previous mod didn't, in itself, do anything to my game. I had two different things going on at once. The first was the mod, which was easily remedied. The second was a permissions error that got sparked somehow, which required clearing cache and all that Explorer fuss to correct. That was the information contained on the page I linked. I had to pursue both to fix my game. Thankfully it all got worked out. My fairy Sim is blooming her little heart out and games are loading happily again. Happy 4th. I appreciate everything that y'all do, and I'm sorry if I annoyed you. -- Hyp
