And after Microsoft just forced an update on my computer (even with my connection set to metered) and broke half of my games and the computer won't completely shut down unless I use the Power Switch on the back and since this computer is backwards compatible with Win 7

Very cute! ;-} windows 7 is my favorite of the three but this comp came with 8 so finding drivers might have been tough going backwards, at least a person knew where the power switch was unlike on 8 Lol.From now on updates will remain set on 'let me choose' rather than auto update. ;-P

Actually you would want to have your update setting to Never.
Otherwise it might try to sneak Win 10 on you.

It is set to never now, I saw an update for the video card and installed it.....promptly lost video on the monitor, then of course my phone started ringing and there was a glitch with cell phone email and the computer wasn't working so I couldn't take care of either at the time, I feel like I have broken myself and all electronics in the vicinity today LoL.!! ;-} Tonight shall be better!!! ^+^ ;-}
