Linux has AMD Drivers baked in. So you could make yourself a bootstick on another Computer. I am not sure if it is possible to install the Drivers for your windows installation out of Linux. Probably not. But it might help you confirm it is a Driver problem and not a Hardware problem.. Or you could switch OS. I am a lot more happy on Linux now than I was on Windows.. Since this thread listed alternatives to Windows 10 I just wanted to add that^^

My card is a radeon 7570 w/ 2 gigs of vram, I got the newest driver from AMD today and it was under a list of supported drivers for windows 10, it has worked on windows 10 for a year with no problems until that update. My son said he hasn't had any problems with the update btw so maybe you won't have any problems either. I have a fan running directed at the open side of the case and am wondering if the update could cause it to run hot? I just took the vacuum to it within the last 3 months or so. Going to clean it out again w/i the next couple days as it started up just fine tonight I don't want to chance anything else at the moment. Thank you

Your card is listed under cards that don't support Windows 10: https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articl ... pport.aspx "ATI Radeon™ 7500 Graphics" - it does look like OEM's got updates for the mobile version and there's a smattering of posts about edge case updates to the desktop cards but even those seem last minute shoehorn's and may no longer work with the latest update. I think you're best going back to 7 or 8.

Ha Hi again, you would not believe the problems I have gone through with this, but I finally got it back to Windows 8 and it has booted up normally from shut down and sleep since friday! ;-} It has started randomly shutting down though ;-P One thing or the other right? I had to recover? with the ethernet unplugged and wifi off so windows couldn't update then turned off auto updates before going back online after 2 recoveries updated and failed. The thought of not having my computer running while the grandsons were here for the weekend was scary lol !! '^_^' Thank you very much for the help and support, going to try installing Sims again
