Hey guys - I have I think a minor issue but annoying and I'm wondering if I could perhaps do things differently to avoid it happening in the future.
Played Sim A world awhile then Sim B world awhile. Then copied Sim B world into Sim A world. Traveled with no traveler to Sim B world and picked up Sim B to travel back to Sim A world to meet Sim A cutie. They met, got engaged - all good.
Sim B travels back to world B. Travels back again to Sim A world to see Sim A. Upon arrival - relationship set at Best Friend and lost engaged status. Also lost all knowledge of Sim A traits. This was immersion breaking so I tried sending Sim A to Sim B world. Same thing happens, best friends status and lost knowledge of traits.
Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening? World jumping loses some of it's appeal if I have to re-establish relationships every time.
Hope this makes sense and would appreciate any insights.

Hey, long distance relationships are rough.
Am pretty sure I've seen the loss of trait knowledge before and just put that down to general flakiness of the travel system. Sims get duplicated under various scenarios, sometimes the "wrong" duplicate sim gets deleted during the subsequent cleanup, etc. But don't think I've ever seen loss of relationship status like that. I would probably just adjust that with MC upon reuniting them.
Not that this is going to help explain why, but are you using Traveler v86 or the beta testing version, 87d?

You could try v86, but I really meant that the other way around. The shiny newer one seems to fix all kinds of ills, this wasn't one of them as advertised. Or you could travel to the future and grab v88 to see what that does (just kidding, of course).
Personally though, I would make the necessary adjustments, ignore the trait relearning, and play forward.

I've had the same experience as TS3Dreams but when returning on the next vacation the relationship level went back to what it was before my sims returned home.
@Sydserious - Re your question on fix homeworld - Sometimes the hometown does not load properly when returning from vacation so yes, it is a good idea to use DE to fix homeword when returning home.

Thanks TS3 and Brappl. I've never had a problem with Traveler so I've never had to use Fix Homeworld for fixing people not being able to go to work or the other problems people use it for. Homeworld relationships, jobs, etc., are all perfect when I return. However, I'm going to throw everything at it this time so it couldn't hurt....I hope : )
