Question about Hidden Springs

Hidden Springs is my favorite EA world. I have never had any issues with it. There is one thing I don't like there, though, but it's easy to fix. There are no wild plants to harvest anywhere. When I play a gardener, I always have them harvest the plants they're going to plant at the beginning of the game, because they usually don't have much money. But no big deal now. I just place a community garden or greenhouse. Also, if you have sims making a living fishing, there is basically one location where all of the freshwater spawners are, other than the lowest level one, and only one of each, so it's a lot harder there than in most of the other worlds. Again, it's not too big of a deal, as you can place duplicate spawners there or somewhere else.

You're welcome Mellye. This is what I do when I move one of my sims from the family to another world, but want to keep the connection to the homeworld where his/her family live. This will keep all the relationships, friends etc intact.
1. TRAVEL (not move) your sim to the world you want to move to.
2. Choose the house you want the sim to live in (if there's no base camp in that world)
3. let the game run for a few mins while the game sets itself up with all the notices etc.
4. In map view, go to City Hall > NRaas> Traveler> Change Homeworld.
5. Very Important: SAVE, Reload from main menu.
6. At this point I always Fix Homeworld: from City Hall >NRaas> DE> Options:City Hall>Sim>Fix Homeworld.
7. Import all your settings
8. Save again.
9. After saving, If you notice your sims age says "Days to Age Up - Never" Just reload from the main menu again.
Now you have your sim settled in his new homeworld. To go back to play the world you left and the sims you left behind do this:
1. Have your sim use the phone to Travel.
2. When the destination screen comes up, choose the original homeworld where your sims are.
3. Before hitting the accept button - double click on the sim to travel and it will move him/her back to the left panel leaving the travel side blank (this is travel back with no passengers) Then accept travel.
4. When your original homeworld loads, just chose the family you left behind and you can continue playing.
Check the relationship panel and you should see the sim you moved showing as a foreign sim. But he/she is still connected to the family with the same relationship status. Now you can go visit him/her or have that sim visit you.
I did this with 4 families. Mine live in Strawberry Acres, which I set up as a little French town (She married a man from France and is a Nectar Maker). I have one in Crumpleton, a British world (she wants to be a rock star and her husbands a baker) I have one in Isle of Sims 2 (He's a writer and she's a collector and they just live like they're on a permanent vacation in a tropical paradise) Then I have one in the original Homeworld, which will be moving to Hidden Springs (they run an orphanage and he's a PI) All my sims are connected in their homeworlds.
Final Note: If you arrive in a homeworld with a Base Camp. Then before changing homeworlds, go to Edit Town and choose a small inexpensive house and make it a "vacation home". Then, have your sims purchase the house. Then you can continue with the steps above from step 4.
I hope that helps explain what I'm doing and how to do it. As I said before, feel free to ask any questions you have.

That's a pretty helpful looking list, littlelambsy. One thing though, on the top part, #2-#4. Many players find that they really need to purchase and move into a vacation home before invoking Change Hometown even if they weren't staying at a Base Camp in the first place. It seems that for them the free housing provided upon arrival by Traveler doesn't quite cut it. Or at least this is what is frequently reported to us.
