You can also after you get all the lots and families you want saved to the Bin make a copy of your Sims 3 Folder rename it, zip it and save on another drive

@Namaradus, I already have a number of copies of my Sims 3 docs folders (Initial Install, With Store Items/Worlds, etc.) and tons of backup files from 2009 from when I started playing. Thanks for the tip also re supernatural families, I'll keep that in mind.

As I am going through this I am finding some really interesting lots, homes and families. Quite an eye-opener to all the work some people have done to create them.

I move things in and out of the library all the time like that. So much easier.

Just discovered a funny in Roaring Heights - On the Beach front there is a Community Lot called "Roaring Heights Visitor Centre" (No Visitors Allowed) - LOL!

I have since discovered the "No Visitors Allowed" is actually "No Tourists Allowed" as residents can still go to do there business in these places.

That's not so strange. I've seen pet shops with "No Dogs Allowed" in real life. :)

No Visitors Allowed is a designation for lots that have rabbit holes. It only means that inactive sims will not be pushed there to do other than rabbit hole related things. So a school, for example, with a playground off to the side will never have sims pushed to visit to play on the playground. Not sure how this applies to the Visitor Centre though,as I'm not sure what purpose that lot serves. :)

I suppose once I have gone through this exercise - I can just delete the lots, families or homes out of my Library as they are already in my exports. My Library is getting a bit full and it is a bit hesitant when I click on the tabs in edit town as it searches the files.

I am using edit town for my vacation worlds, university and future world to extract stuff from here. Any accidental changes I make in here will only affect my current save-game and any new game I start these worlds would revert standard/default - correct?

Correct. You can't actually change the default worlds that spawn in new games that way, only the nhd file of your currently being played save.

I think my Library is getting a bit full as I am experiencing crashing. I'll copy a new Sims 3 folder with just my store content and default EPs and SP and worlds and start again. I got up to Sunlit tides , so only 3 more to do. I will them place them into my downloads folder and seletect which items I want to re-install into my library.
