error with cas clothing

Post by CarsonGrande » November 10th, 2022, 7:53 pm

I have an error with CAS maybe it is one of my mods but I got this complete list on error trap about it and attached it to errors about the grids. CAS is also running very slow which should not be because I don't have any Custom Content in there. Plus I have the smooth patch so it should help it out. In about 30 secs or so usually the rest of the grid would pop up and then disappears. Below is only a few of what the error trap says because I think there is like 120 or more.

error with cas clothing

Post by igazor » November 10th, 2022, 8:13 pm

There are issues with the 2.1 version of the Smooth Patch and MC, and the Smooth Patch developer offers solutions for them (that work for some players, apparently). That would be at MTS, not here. But what happens with the 1.0 version, if that one is even still available for download, or without the Smooth Patch at all?

(for the record, I'm still on 1.0 here and don't see these issues)

There are no previous versions on the MTS mod page.

Since version 2, in addition to the main mod (which still works fine, but crashes my game when the High Precision option is enabled), the author also provides package files that make little nice improvements. But their CAS functionality seems to conflict with the Master Controller CAS, despite the attempt to ensure their compatibility.

I made a version for myself without the CAS improvements, and it seems to work fine. If anyone is interested in trying it, here is the download link.

So I'm quite late on this, I only just recently heard about Smooth Patch and wanted to give it a try, but wasn't sure how to go about it since I use Master Controller (along with several other Nraas mods).

I downloaded your version that you linked to in the above comment and read the Readme.txt included in the zip, however I was wondering, do I need to install any other files from MTS, or is the one SmoothPatch.package file (from your zip) that goes in my Packages folder all I need?
If it's relevant, I'm on patch 1.67 and my game was installed with the game disc, not Steam!

Hi,

Yes, you still need the original mod files (for version 1.67 these are ddraw.dll, TS3Patch.asi and TS3Patch.txt), which should be located next to the base game executable (in the .../Game/Bin folder).

It should be noted that LazyDuchess updated the Smooth Patch files on MTS at the end of January, and now the original mod should also disable conflicting features when you use Master Controller CAS. In my version, this conflicting code has been completely removed. I described this in a little more detail in the comments on MTS.
