I did not install it over the 1.69, i just blocked the game from updating it to 1.69, and thus i am playing offline, do not need Origin, or Steam, and link example that i provided is offline patch to 1.67, from some old version game was when i first got it installed (it is not important which one) it was long time ago, i just kept installed game on the drive, and if Smooth patch was updated then it should be compatible with NRAAS mod(s). But from what i searched by issue i has/had it was reported that Smooth patch and NRAAS StoryProgression has/had some issues, i think i read about that on Steam regarding Sims 3 modding and optimization. If latest version of Smooth patch is actually compatible with NRAAS than i can safely install that one. Also EA noted that last update for Sims 3 Origin is 1.70.CardinalSims post_id=100269 time=1710364188 user_id=22933 wrote: imply installing the 1.67 patch over top of a 1.69 install (which is the unavoidable default if the game was installed through Origin or the EA App) is not how this works, and absolutely how you end up with a game that has every mod capable of throwing script errors throwing them as seen in your logs.
1.69 is also fine, besides being a somewhat annoying DRM. Anything making it out to be some kind of evil unusable patch level is old drama- every digital install user here is getting by without issue
But from what i saw at this site, NRAAS mods are clearly stated that they are compatible with 1.67, 1.69 and 1.70. So i do not see any need to update the game to any newer version. I can only check if maybe some of those NRAAS mods i have are maybe for older version and not for 1.67 version. But as i said i did not have any issues with the game before i added NRAAS StoryProgression and Smooth patch, those are only two newer i added, i completely by accident (i did not search them specifically) found about Smooth patch and StoryProgression.
