So I have through register set most service sims to 1 as to not clog up my game with unnecessary sims. I also have clean up homeless and cleanse the dead set to true in overwatch for the same reason and I assume these work together to both keep non-residential sims to a minimum, but specifically to clean up service sims who aren't in use.
To my question. I had a babysitter teen who aged up and therefore isn't considered a babysitter anymore since that is limited to teens. The game spawned a new babysitter to fill his empty role so nothing wrong there. However, I mentioned that he's still in my relationship bar and an active sim so I figured perhaps the game used him to fill an empty house somewhere. Nope, he's still homeless. So I wondered how often clean up homeless sims runs essentially. Is it every night? Or are only a couple deleted every night?
I did some more investigation and saw that in mastercontroller > demographics that he's still shows up as "service: 1". Does that mean that he is still in a service household? Cause the game doesn't count him as a service sims as far as I'm aware, because when I check Mc > demographics > service sims, he doesn't show up under babysitter, I even marked them all and he doesn't show up as active service sim at all, so I assume that "service: 1" could only mean that he is just technically in a service household, not necessarily a service sims. Are service households exempt from "clean up homeless" and thats why this former service sim/babysitter isn't ... taken care of... to put it nicely?

As far as I know the clean up is running each night default at 3.
You can change the time, if you like.
If I remember right, don't set it to 4, because then EA system things are running, maybe someone else can explain better

Yeah exactly, I keep mine at the default 3 as well. Just not sure why this former babysitter isnt deleted. My running theory now is that because he used to a service sim he's still in the service household even if hes not an active service sim and therefore exempt from the clean up homeless that runs every night by overwatch, but not 100% sure.C-Dark wrote: ↑July 10th, 2023, 5:57 pmAs far as I know the clean up is running each night default at 3.
