Opportunities Setting In Mover

Post by brappl » February 20th, 2016, 8:04 pm

I changed the settings in mover to True to retain dreams and opportunities. When I switched families and went back the opportunities were gone. Is there something else I needed to change?

Thanks namaradus but I am referring to the New function in Mover:
Retain Dreams and Opportunities NEW
When enabled, the wishes and opportunities of the sims left in previous active household will not be lost when a family is split
The "Switch to this Household" button in "Edit Town" will also retain dreams and opportunities
Dreamer manages the dreams/wishes system.

Your not using the Switch Active household button are you cause it worked just fine for me
Go to Edit Town click on the Household you want to make active and bring up their lot information and use Switch Household from there
Shouldn't need any other settings

What I was using was the option in MC to "Make Active" .. I'll try it from Edit Town when I go back in and see if that works. Thanks namaradus.

Each mod that has a switch household function has a setting for retaining dreams and opportunities. If you want to use MC toggle the one under it's settings.

Good question brappl. Now that I'm about to launch into rotational play I never thought about that. So now, let me get this straight in my head. I'm playing a family and they have an opportunity.... read book for work for example and they also have some wants. Then I leave that family and switch to another by right clicking on the sim or house tag. That family becomes active and I play them. Now when I go back to the first family, their opportunity and wants are still there and haven't been erased? Do I have to set it to do this in my "rotations caste"?

That would depend on which mod your using to do the interaction with LL
If it's Mover you go to Edit Town click on the family you want to make active to bring up their lot information and click Switch to this household
If it's MC then you do MC>Settings>Retain Dreams and Opportunities
Selector I believe it's Switch Households On Right Click
Basically use the one that's easiest for you
