Script Error ( uploaded)and sim reset when clerk for Savvy Seller is pushed to tend the register

Post by Tommee1 » February 9th, 2015, 6:49 am

Hi, So I have savvy seller and savvier seller. I made a car lot and the owner of the lot was set to work there using Zerbu's ultimate career mod. So I hired an inactive sim to be the clerk and tend the register. The clerk showed up to the lot but just stood near the register, he changed his outfit a few times then he reset and a script error was produced. I saw that the sim was pushed again to go back to the lot, but again he just stood around and changed his outfit. So I instead had the store owner tend the register. Originally I had both sims also manually assigned to work on the lot with Zerbu's mod. Then I removed the clerk. I checked his work panel and it still showed him with his science career. Do I have to make the clerk quite his EA science career first? Can I have the clerk assigned wtih Zerbu's mod and use SS settings to make him tend the register. Script Error was uploaded.
Thanks

Yes you should make the clerk quit his EA career and preferably give him a place holder career such as Retired or Unemployed otherwise he will keep trying to leave the car lot to go to his EA career.

There's no need to assign the clerk with Zerbu's mod. The Savvier Seller mod will summon him to the register. Bear in mind though that the register has no custom animations so the clerk will just stand there and do nothing.

I'm sorry I can't look at your scripterror at the moment because I'm on my tablet but I hope the above advice helps. :-)

Reviewed your ScriptError and it seems the game can't find your Trait Core tuning or Skill Core tuning.
Name: Ray Smithfield
Skill [bad skill data] ClubDancing: 0
Skill [bad skill data] Athletic: 9
Skill [bad skill data] Chess: 0
Skill [bad skill data] Photography: 0
Skill [bad skill data] Hopscotch: 5
Skill [bad skill data] 362046248: 0
Skill [bad skill data] InfluenceRebel: 0
Skill [bad skill data] InfluenceSocialite: 0
Skill [bad skill data] SocialNetworking: 2
Trait
Trait
Trait
Trait
Trait

The same is showing on Elena Devore in that scripterror.

Not sure if your game loaded incomplete or you have any Tuning mod installed that alters the Skill or Traits that is outdated.

I have not added any trait related mods lately. I did add the savvier seller , you mod to allow small market ownable, and the microwave mod posted by Icarus. Dashboard did not find any conflicts. I will try again after removing his EA career.

Dashboard is good to use for something conflicting or corrupted, but it can't report outdated mods.

A conflict is when the game is running on mods that has in 2 separate packages that alters the same XML / ITUN / OBDJ / OBJK / CASP within the game. Dashboard looks for these and report it back to you as yellow or orange.

A Corrupt (Bad) package is something that isn't complete.

An Outdated Mod has Tuning inside of it that was made with a prior patch version then where you are currently patch on and the Tuning has been changed to add something else or completely changed everything in that XML / ITUN / OBDJ / OBJK / CASP or whatever that tuning mod does.
This is something Dashboard can't look into as it doesn't open the content but looks for duplicate or bad resources being used.

An example that can be given, prior to the release of EP / IP the Traits _XML didn't had any traits that supported Mermaids / Mermen, but after the release it did. So if you are using a traits tuning mod that was made before the release of IP, all your Mermaids / Mermen would be corrupt due to the game couldn't find their traits.

This is something Dashboard doesn't report as it's neither conflicting nor corrupted, cause you are still able to use those outdated mods without any hiccups. But once you are playing the game, you'll notice some awkwardness in your game that can't be explained till some Sim of a certain species is created.

The same as what we explained when you were using the SMX Hospital Overhaul mod. So with that said, although Dashboard doesn't report any issues, check your mod setup if you have any skill / trait tuning mod and see if pulling them out will resolve the issue you're having. You might even need to TA those Sims.

The only trait mod that I have is the hypochondriac trait and I have had that for long time and my game has never produced this type of script error before. I don't have any mods other than MC that relates to skills. I updated all mods when I patched to 1.67 to get the latest Nraas mods and that was months ago. The only additions that I have made to my game since the patch are Savvier seller, Ultimate Careers mod by Zerbu, Microwave mod by Icarus, and the mod you, J4Ks made to allow the WA markets to be ownable.

Think you answered your own question with this line; "The only trait mod that I have is the hypochondriac trait and I have had that for long time and my game has never produced this type of script error before."
And reread my post.

The other mods you mentioned doesn't influence Skills or Traits in anyway and are made atleast with patch 1.63 in mind whereas hypochondriac trait mod was made with patch 1.55.

@J4ks, just trying to learn here, but why do you think it is the hypochondriac trait that is producing the error if it has never caused the problem for months now? I am thinking what I wrote that you quoted above was not clear, The error was produced after adding savvy seller and savvier seller. I have played many times after patching the game with the hypochondriac trait and it has not caused any errors.

I just uploaded another script error. I removed the sim's ea career. He then showed up to the lot but is now continuing to reset when he walks up to the register. This is happening in a loop now.

Oh and I forgot to add that the problem happens when the sim tries to interact with the savvy/savvier seller register.

The first error you had uploaded had nothing to do with the savvier seller mod. It is as I wrote in my first post what that error reported.

The second error is something about an object it could not place or replace cause the original was sold? Any objects you had placed that weren't from the list that you are able to sell, such as documented in <a href="http://nraas.wikispaces.com/The+Savvier ... ler+FAQ</a> the under "What items can I sell? (and not sell?)"-topic.

Back to your questions, as I said it might be a faulty load or the tuning is outdated. To be sure that the last isn't the case be sure that the creator acknowledge such that his/her mod is compatible with the latest patch.

As Simlogical site went through drastic changes, the comment section of that mod is gone and we don't know who else having this issue and the creator already retired before patch 1.63 came into play (which carried over 900 XML changes with it).
At that time Twallan had to check and rewrite most of these NRaas mods (all the heavy mods) in this suite to make it work with patch 1.63.

Use it at own risk, but our answer will be the same whenever such ScriptError is submitted that pulls down the Traits and Skill listing in the error. And at user ends the risk of having a game with corrupted details.
