Describe your crash at startup please? It just goes to a black screen and never launches? It loads some at the main menu then crashes?

Yes, when I launch the game (either through the launcher or directly with ts3.exe) A black screen usually pops up and the application basically overrides all of my other tabs. I can still alt+tab and use the windows key and whatnot, but when i try to open or switch to any other apps it wont let me, the black screen makes it so thast i dont have any other option then to ctrl+alt+delete because rebooting is the only thing that can close the application once it gets stuck on black screen.
And once every blue moon after 5 retries the game just launches and works fine but usually it doesnt.

One reason for a black screen can be that you have a downloadedsims.index file in your SavedSims folder.
Please check this and if there is -> delete this file.

Wow! I located that file and deleted it and my game lauched immediately! I've only tried it once so idk if it's a permanent solution but you might have just fixed my game. Thank you so much!

Yeah, I did that and I got about 10 notifications telling me it fixed some outfits.

I've been getting new script errors and one of my sims kinda glitched out. She wouldn't age up from teen to YA, so I tried trigger age transition through in-game cheats and any trigger age transition options available through MC and debug. None of those worked, next thing I knew she became invisible. So I used fix invisible sims and that rerolled her outfit and brought her back, but she still wouldn't age, so my only option was to go in CAS and make her a YA that way. She's now playable, but my game's been crashing a lot since all this happened and I also keep getting error code 12 again.

Only thing I see there is the corrupt outfit error. Fix Invisible Sims usually helps there. Sometimes taking them into CAS and changing one thing about their everyday outfit does too. It sounds like you might have bad CC if outfits are getting corrupted. Afraid script errors never tell us the source of crashing or error code 12's. How long have you been playing this world?

They do tell me that your game was out of memory when it crashed. It sounds like your save has gotten quite bloated.

• Do you have things like memories disabled and are you using a save cleaner?
• Are you doing any inventory management to keep those from getting too bloated?
• What is your population size?

Do you by chance have a lot of maternity enabled defaults installed? I learned recently that the game apparently has a bug, that teens require YA clothing that is not maternity enabled, and valid for random, to age up into, or it can cause problems like this where they won't age up.

If you're playing a long running save game, and you haven't already, I highly recommend trying out the 'reset everything' option in Master Controller. Error 12 had been the bane of my game recently also, and this was what fixed it for me. You can find it under the Town Hall -> Master Controller -> Town -> Reset Everything

Edit to add: I also recommend using a save cleaner. I used Regul's Save Cleaner on my game a couple of months ago, deleted only thumbnails, portraits, and generated images. My save file went from 1.07gb to under 500mb. It seems like the game creates new portraits and thumbnails periodically, but perhaps never deletes the old ones, which can cause massive bloat. (Necessary thumbnails and portraits will be automatically re-generated in-game, which may cause a little lag when next you load, but it wasn't too bad for me.)
